I purchased a cake which was fairly small for $23 and it had glazed stawberries on top of it for a birthday party. I was so embarrased when the cake pieces were being passed out to everyone and when I tasted it, it was very dry, almost to where it just crumbled!! I called the store to make a comment about it and the "manager" started asking questions to see if I still had the cake and disregarded the fact that the cake was dry as if I was trying to receive a refund or another cake. I wasn't. I was only calling to make the bakery aware of this. Awfull!!! Will never buy one of there outrageously expensive under quality cakes again!!!!!!! Next time I'll go to fiesta or walmart.

I love this location because it is close to entertainment, restaurants, public transportation. The store is well maintained and I have no problems finding quality vegetables, fruits, meats, etc. Where can you go and buy tilapia and get two free or pork and get one free. I'm from Atlanta and never saw any sales like this. They need to open up stores in Atlanta. If you want something to snack on they have the best wings by far. Standing in line is very much worth the wait especially when you are saving money. Love, Love, Love this store.
I have been shopping here for years. They continue to amaze me how courteous and helpful they are to everyone. I have never shopped at a Tom Thumb that even compared to the friendliness of the Mockingbird store. Everyone says hello and asks if they can help you. After I was in there a couple of times they would remember my name and always would talk to me like we had been friends forever. I have even talked to people who go out of their way to shop at this location.
This Tom Thumb is too small and has no room to expand. Management and staff are poorly trained although getting better since I moved here 12 years ago. Shelves are badly stocked, when shelves are straightened at night, one or two varieties are put across the front so that you have to move them and look behind to find what you need. Employees used to ask if you needed help but that only lasted about 6 months and now no one looks at you again. Poor training.
I called in and the people there treated me with respect and helped me through a wide variety of foods they serve. I ordered before noon and they brought my groceries to the door the same day. They were on time. Now I don't have to go to the store, they bring it to my door and now I don't have to wait in the lines or fight traffic. They are personal and professional, which you don't find very often. I would refer them to everyone I know!!!!
Amazing food, a bit expensive but worth every penny. I can find foods that I haven't had since I was a kid, or in distant lands that I've never had in the US. I'm not ashamed to say we go multiples a week for dinner b/c everything is fresh and at its best each and every time. For people work and don't have 2 hours to prep dinner every night, but still want quality food in a great atmosphere - visit the cafe and you won't be disappointed!
Maybe its because I've been to the 'Wholey Land' (Whole Foods Flagship in Austin), maybe its the crammed isles, maybe its the way that you are forced to snake through the store, maybe its the deceiving mix of organic and conventional produce, maybe its the hype or maybe I just want to be difficult... Whatever it is I'm just not digging central market as much as everyone else.
Minyard's Food Store gives young people a chance to let them know that I am a hard worker that i can meet the stores standards. They have people at minyard's that have worked there for a while they will help you if you don't know what to do. Minyard's is a great place to start your work at.
This is an average grocery store with slightly higher than average prices in an average neighborhood. All I ask is that you start buying some average fruits and vegetables, rather than the ones you get from your supplier for cheaper because they are bruised and discolored. Thank you.
This Whole Foods store is huge! I was extremely impressed with the variety of organic items up for sale. The employees were friendly and very helpful. They also sell many exotic foods, like eel. I was very impressed and enjoyed my shopping experience at Whole Foods.
