BEWARE. Horrid stories about the mistreat of animals there among other concerns about this facility and the director of operations, employees and the mistreat of animals sheltered there. I took 3 rescue kitties there 11-2016. Made it very clear if for any reason they would euthanize them to contact me and i would take them elsewhere. Loving kitties, just scared and frightened, manager reassured me they would not be euthanized. i called to see how they were doing and was told they were doing great, vaccinated, ready for adoption. I called a couple days after and asked how the 3 kitties were doing and was given the " I dont know" so I told the employee I was coming down to visit them. when I arrived, I was told all 3 kitties were euthanized. veterinarian said she never saw the kitties. I called and called to speak to manager, never available, never returned my calls, called Dir., never returned my calls. these kitties were not sick, nor aggressive, One i rescued walked right into the carrier just waiting to be helped. senseless killing and animal abuse from employees. manager admitted it was in fact happening and security cameras were put in to prevent such. Its all to strange the Dir. of operations stated she has worked there for 23 years, this was happening and she is still there? I asked why not one animal has one toy, nor a litter box big enough to really use? Dir replied they dont get "ANY" donations of toys for animals. I adopted a cat from there a couple years ago and still trying to rehabilitate it since it is still fearful of a human, i adopted it because it tremored in fear. Something isn't right at this shelter and the mayor needs to investigate it. PLEASE DO NOT take any rescue animals to this shelter. FIND ANOTHER. Serious changes need to be made here, new management so desperately needed to protect and love the animals.
