I have been to Cafe Mimosa twice. The first time was a decent experience. We decided to give it another try.I ordered a dish that was too spicy and sent it back, after just one bite. I decided not to order anything else as we did not have time to wait for it. When we got our bill I saw that I was charged for the spicy dish. I asked our waiter to please remove it. He said he would talk to the manager. After waiting for 20 or so minutes. We looked for him, as we had to leave. We found a different server and asked to speak to the manager ourselves. The manager was outside on break. We went outside and told the manager what had happened. As we were explaining the situation the waiter came out behind us. He started yelling something to the effect of, "What's your problem?! What's happened?!" I told him we were discussing it with the manager and it had nothing to do with him. He continued to yell, even louder than the time before. The manager sent him into the restaurant. She then took us to the owner. The owner refused to refund our money. I explained that it was too spicy. She said that the menu explains it has spice and therefore she would not refund our money. After arguing with her for well over 15 minutes. I became very angry because she refused to let us leave unless we for paid at least half the price of the spicy dish!! She took the food that I sent back (that had been sitting in the back of the house), put it in a container, and shoved it in my hands. I told her I did not want it as it was too spicy for either of us to eat. After I was forced to pay, I told her we would never return. She shuffled us out the door with the to-go container.This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had a restaurant. I feel sorry for anyone who works there. The manager was very kind and the food was good (thanks to the cooks), but the owner, wow!

Entire building has been extensively remodeled from old Hometown Buffet. The food is fresh and delicious. Price is really a value for what you get.
I have never seen such an extensive buffet. Something for everyone. Delicious! Fresh seafood, salad and fruit bar. Also dessert and ice cream to scoop...not soft serve. American food as well as Asian.I don't think they serve alcohol. No reservations needed.
I went a couple days ago and I was blown away. Between the food cost and quality of service I cannot complain about anything. The sushi we ordered was amazing the soups and salads we everything I could hope for and more. I am very pleased with this sushi bar. The prices make sushi affordable on a budget. They were very pleasant and courteous. I used a restaurant.com gift certificate and they were very helpful. Also 18% tip was included in the price. Awesome. I left extra we had that good of service. Will definitely return soon!

It's a bit pricey, but this is my favorite sushi joint in town. A nice mix of traditional and new school fusions.
The scenery is very modern and appealing. But with the high class scenery be prepared to pay a pretty penny if you want some sushi! With ordering 3 rolls for me and my girlfriend I paid $35 not including taxes. The food is very good. Like very very good. But defiantly not a weekly place to go.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!I recently visited this restaurant with my husband and two friends and was very pleased with the menu, presentation, and food. The experience took a turn for the worse as soon as we received our bill. We used a Groupon towards our meal and understood that it cannot be used for alcohol. The server even told us at the beginning and we clearly understood. There was an awesome special for a small Saki for $2.00, which we had intended to pay separately. When we got our bill the Saki was double in price and when we questioned the server he told us that we couldn’t get the special even though we intended to pay separate for it. We thought it was ridiculous and asked to put it on our friends tab that did not use a Groupon and he refused. They were also penalized for joining us for dinner and could not get any special as well. I will never go back to this restaurant again because of the way they treat their customers! Not to mention that the restrooms we disgusting and the sink was falling apart.
