except the janitor who left a little dust pile under the tv room desk all week, this place rocks, except for police who manhandled me into handcuffs for no dangerous reason, guess they needed practice. I was voluntarily admitting myself so i am not sure why the bully stuff.Lets get on to the meat and potatoes which are the actual care givers. I had extremely attentive care by all shifts of staff on 7h. when a nurse said i was in the right place, she was right. I'm usually very wary. of new medical places. They got me controlled on medicines that Lex, Ky VA couldn't.I was there for a week and am a lot more healthy than when i went in.Thanks Rusty. ( my fave nurse)
Ripoff. Been paying since 2004 a $40 copay for the same procedure at doctors office. The procedure takes 15 minutes in an examination room. They charge $280 as my copay just for the examination room.
I have had my bladder checked every year at Breckinridge Urology since 2004 and my copay has been $40. This is not a surgical procedure and no cutting is involved and takes around 15 minutes. Recently the procedure was done at Louisville Surgical Center. The room is exactly the same as the examination room at Breckinridge Urology but the charge was $280 not counting what the insurance covered. I believe that this is a ripoff to me and the insurance company. This is why our insurance premiums are going up. The government should look into the costs charged by places like this and hospitals.
My son saw an doctor of this facility at Norton's ER. He was "too afraid" to remove a thorn cms under the skin and referred me to out patient surgery through Specialty Orthopedics. This is AFTER trying to CHECK HIM INTO THE HOSPITAL for a thorn in his foot. The big surprise is that I was charged over $3000 for this ER visit by Specialty Orthopedics. Norton's ER supplied all supplies and the ultrasound machine and they charged me for them as well. We did go to the office for a follow up for out patient surgery. The staff gave me the wrong suite number on the phone, so finding the place was next to impossible. When we did finally find it, we sat in the waiting room 2 hours, after asking the woman behind the desk how much longer, I found out it would be at least 2 hours before we saw the doctor, but only a half an hour till Xray. We left. We found another orthopedic doctor and were treated wonderfully! This place is only after huge billing fees! BEWARE! If you choose this doctor's office you will regret it, I promise.
