Holy cow! If you visit Louisville and don't eat at Joe's Crab Shack, you have completely failed! We ate at a lot of restaurants while visiting Louisville, some pretty nice ones too, and Joe's Crab Shack was by far our most enjoyable experience. The food and drinks were all outstanding, the environment is fun, comfortable and casual, and the service was friendly and excellent.
Every time the food is great, but the little details tend to be forgotten. You ask for extra tarter sauce and get no sauce At All! You order cole slaw and get no fork! Sometimes that makes all the difference when it costs 1.50 for a very small cup, and a sandwich is almost $8. This location tends to act like tarter sauce is gold!! Not sure if its's the owner or the people who work there, but they could be more considerate with the condiments and more attentive to details of the order when packaging food to go. They read it off at the window but you are never sure that it's in the bag.
The food is really good and they are very fast about preparing it. The only thing I don't like is how small the place is.
Do not try to take a large group here. They will put people in front of your group and keep adding time to the estimated wait time.
My wife and I eat here about every 2 weeks. The 1st mate special is very good and economical. The staff is always friendly.
My new favorite seafood restaurant!!! Great service and food with a great view.
Delicious! Best fish sand which and such a great deal
AWESOME SERVICE, they actually make my special brown sauce that's so rare to find in Louisville. Super friendly and recommend the egg foo young!
Good food, proportions are small.
Not friendly at all. Never smiles at customers, nor greets them. Also, I ordered a first mate fish sandwich this past Friday 8/10/12 at 5 PM and was only given one piece of bread. Doubt I will go back to Moby's/Bashford Manor.
