I have taken my Toby to Eastpoint Pet Resort since he was a puppy for day care facilities. His first experience, he was put into the room with all the other dogs and he immediately cowered in the corner as all the other dogs were trying to sniff him. The staff immediately intervened and gradually integrated Toby into the room with the other dogs. This became his daily ritual and something he looked forward to every single work day. He eventually became a staff favorite and could always be found sitting at the gate behind the front desk with the staff instead of going into a crate all day (my Toby is a very quiet boy which helps him remain out front where is doesn't become disruptive. We have even boarded Toby while we took vacations and the staff never seemed to mind my call to check on him. June, 2013, my husband accepted a job in Indianapolis so we moved. We have since adopted another Wheaten Terrier named Tucker. After we moved, I still travel to Louisville at least once a month and I always know I can take Toby with me and he looks forward to seeing his friends. The new puppy has also been 3 times now. I can always count on the fact that he will be exhausted. I can also say that I believe the staff at Eastpoint Pet Resort have made my sweet Toby the excellent dog that he has become. He has learned to socialize with other animals and knows how to deal with people and is an all-around better dog as a result of the caring staff at Eastpoint Pet Resort. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Remember, they're a pet resort, not a vet but it's also good to know that a vet is next door in the event of an emergency but I have never had a need to worry about it in all the years of experience I've had with them. Thank you to all the staff at Eastpoint for loving my Toby and my little Tucker. They look forward to their next visit.

My daughter has been going to Discovery for a while now and we're very happy. The teachers do a great job and the owners and directors are very involved in all of the classrooms. Seeing them spending time in all the rooms, lending a hand when needed, and helping to keep everything organized makes it feel very cohesive and family-like. The teachers do a lot to work with the kids on their preschool/pre-k skills, and they help kids learn to work through all the social challenges of daycare and school. The center is also great about making things fun -- they always have cute projects, celebration days, special guests (Mr. Magic is definitely a favorite!), etc. Summers are especially fun. Our first summer there we were really surprised at how much they do for the kids. (There's usually a special thing each week -- water slide, bouncy house, sno cones, animals to pet and learn about, theme weeks, etc.). We feel comfortable that our daughter is in great hands. Most importantly, she likes it. Visit a few other daycares and I guarantee you'll notice a difference at this one. It's not just a place to watch your kids-- they really have a sense of pride in their work and want to go above and beyond.
My child has been at Bright Expectations since she was 3 months old. The experience there has been a wonderful one for her and myself. I learned of Bright Expectations through a co-worker who utilized their services for both of her children. Not only is the environment a healthy one, I can honestly say that I feel comfortable with this being her home away from home during the day hours. The Director and the staff have been very friendly and informative. My now, 2 year old, has a lesson plan scheduled for her monthly which keeps me abreast of what will be "happening" on a daily basis. She looks forward to taking a book each Wednesday. And of course, she comes home wanting to read it to me as well. She also receives a daily report of her activities at the end of the day for me to take home as well.During the winter months, my co-workers complain of daycare closings, however I am very seldom impacted as they strive to be open for parents and their children. If I have any concerns (as you know parents have at least one, we can't help ourselves), the staff is always their to listen and work with you. For this reason and the reasons above, I recommend them highly.
This center is in a quiet, quaint neighborhood, which is very important for us due to some challenges our son has. No busy roads with crazy drivers and lots of various things going on with busy intersections or streets. Our son has been at Kribs2Kids Academy Fairdale for four months and gaining in terms of courage and confidence. Until this time he has been timid and withdrawn, especially when put in the company of other children or crowds, but not anymore. He plays and participates in all kinds of activities at the center, except for 10-15 minutes after we drop him off in the mornings. This change in his behavior is completely due to the expert and experienced teachers he has at Kribs2Kids Academy Fairdale. The love on him, read him stories, and play with him. This child care center and preschool has an excellent curriculum, and believe me we have been to quite a few centers. We are not worried about our son like we were at other preschools and day cares.
For anyone who thinks it's 'strange' that these reviews are so specific, it's because this boarding facility is completely transparent! They welcome tours and leave no room closed to the public on a tour. I used to work for this facility and it is always clean and the staff truly cares about each and every dog, often going to great measures to ensure dogs stick to special diets, get needed medications, and even read your pup a bedtime story if need be. They book up quickly because repeat customers come back time and time again! Also, the pups get their own 'rooms' with a private run in each one, as well as a tv and doggie bed. You can even bring everything but the kitchen sink to make your dogs room more like home if you'd like! I am biased, however, for any naysayer, go for a tour and you will soon be a fan!
Our toddler and preschooler are doing great at this child care center. They both love their teachers and often it is a real effort to pick them up, because they do not want to let go of them. Most of all we appreciate the new director who is young and energetic, yet equally efficient as her mother was when she was the director of the center. Our children have been enrolled at Kribs2Kids Academy St Matthews for over a year after trying out three other Centers in the neighborhood. All were pretty much in the same price range, but none of the others had their priorities right – loving care, hygiene and academic/physical development. A couple of the other centers had better technology and equipment. However, their process was complex, we like it simple.
Before St Mathews Child a Developement Center my daughter had been to an at home caregiver and a daycare. I never felt she was progressing to her potential or that her teachers were being hands on with her or caring. When she started going to St Mathew CDC her entire learning development changed for the better. She is farther along in her vocabulary as well as manners than most children I see her age. Her current teacher, Miss T is awesome! Lilly adores her and Miss T had her potty trained in a matter of a few weeks. She is amazing with her kids. The management is very nice and always quick to help if I need documentation or just want to see how my girl is doing that day. Could not be happier anywhere else. So blessed to have found them. :)
I couldn't be more pleased with Stepping Stones! The staff here is amazing, they all have years of training and experience and are very warm and caring people. The director has always gone above and beyond for me and my family and does a wonderful job there. The classes are small which is nice because i know my daughter is getting the one on one care that she deserves. She has learned so much in the year that she has been there. You can tell that my daughter doesn't just play all day, or sit in front of a TV, she is actually learning! Again I highly recommend this facility, you wont regret it. I love our stepping stones family!
Wonderful Place!!!! I wouldn't even call it a daycare because it is more like an extended family to me. My daughter has attended here for over a year and I am beyond happy and impressed at the level of care she receives. The director/owner is extremely responsive and has talked with me after close of business for 30 minutes or more on several occasions. That is going above and beyond in my opinion! I have her personal cell and she always makes sure any concerns are addressed. I am fortunate to have found a place like this and there are none in the area that come close to comparing (I know from personal experience!)
I could not be happier with choosing Stepping Stones before my family's big move to Louisville. We were going through a big change together and it is so good to know that we had an extended family that went through our transition with us. My daughter is terribly shy and a wallflower, but she never fades into the background here. She is always treated like a little person and with dignity, and Stepping Stones is happy to encourage her to grow, instead of "just getting through the day in the toddler room" like another place we were in our old town. We even drive out of our way to send her here!
