OK first a qualifier: My house orders a lot of pizza. Like order enough that randomly our orders get comped if we call it in. I cannot for the life of me understand how this place survives. I am writing this review now as I believe in the 3 strike rule, and PizzaHut Hillview has just received strike #3. Order 1 took more than 1.5 hours for delivery, on a random Wednesday night. I'm not talking about Superbowl, or inclement weather; I'm talking just a random night I did not feel like cooking. When the order was finally received, it was cold. And while charged, they did not include one of the pizzas. A call to the store resulted in being told that my additional pizza would be out wherever it was in the delivery line. I inquired if it was going to be another 1.5 hours and I was told there was nothing they could do. It happened to be the veggie pizza, which left our one lone vegetarian with nothing to eat. The pizza finally arrived after an additional hour. The pizzas that did arrive, were legitimately so cold, they had to be reheated. The operator credited our account for this problem in the amount of whatever 1 pizza at full price costs. Strike two: Repeat of above, another random day, another hour + delivery, and YET AGAIN they forgot one of the pizzas, AND 2 liter. Fortunately this time the veggie pizza arrived, leaving me wanting. Another call, another credit, another make your pizza experience last 3 hours. I make note of the credit as when the young lady added it to my record over the phone, she noticed I already had a credit from the last order (we ordered it online and you cannot use them that way). Today is the final blow, after deciding the only way we will give them another shot is to use up the $40 in credit we now have on our account. I call in the order, and am placed on hold. I get an operator a few minutes later, she takes my order, and when it comes time to talk about the credit she cannot locate it. She opts to locate a manager, and places me on hold. She places me on hold for a total of 14 minutes before I hang up and call back. Busy signal. Call back a couple minutes later, and back on hold, repeat of my prior 15 minutes of frustration in ordering a pizza. She cannot locate a credit, she cannot locate a manager, and advises me to speak with the GM. I asked when I can speak with him, and she politely informs me that lunchtime tomorrow would be the earliest. I politely inform her, that the last two times I've paid for Pizza Hut things went very wrong. I informed her that if I was to pay for this order, I'd give my business to a competitor (Dominos here is run with an almost military level of precision, and customer care) and she says "ok." So, while I actually like the Pizza hut pizza; I'm now only able to eat it when out of town, as the local location is just an epic failure. I'm not going to follow up with the GM, I've wasted over 6 hours of my life waiting on these guys to execute. Nobody is going to call me to follow up, as they just don't have that level of organization or customer care. **Update, while I was writing this and actually waiting on another pizza to come from a competitor, the Pizza hut guy just showed up with my original order!?!?!? And when I asked if it was comped, he gave me a different total than the one originally provided on the phone. This business is wholeheartedly doomed.
