While Meijer has a large variety of items, this location often has expired items on the shelves. I always thought the overall quality was acceptable, as long as I checked my dates on all grocery items and looked for mold on the fruits, however; tonight I had Meijer brand frozen cod fillets that contained worms. Yes, worms. In the past I have brought home bird seed that contained live maggots, bread that had mold on it and their produce is absolutely horrid. The strawberries always have mold on them and the apples are generally pretty bruised. Their banana selection is either green or beyond ripe.
You're probably pretty safe purchasing home goods or clothing, but the food is definitely questionable.
