Excellent La Quinta Inn & Suites located East Louisville.. There are many hotels in this region and this one of the best hotel in the area. The check in was quick, professional and accurate. The room was clean and the mattress on the bed firm and excellent. Internet service was very good. The towels in the bath along with the amenities were first class. Breakfast in the dining room was complimentary and very good. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us plenty of tips about what to see and where to dine.. This was a most pleasant stay at a very nice La Quinta Inn & Suites.

This was a sorry hotel. It was one dissapointment after another. Room seemed nice at first but after a closer look it appeared that the room had not been cleaned from the last customer. The biggest disapointment to my family was the supposably heated pool. I told the clerk on check in that my family was looking forward to the pool, and he forgot to mention that the heated part was broken. Pool could not be used as the water temp was around 50 deg. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel. Spend the extra!!! You get what you pay for, and this hotel proved it.

First of all, I made my reservation online, where it said that my card would not be charged until I checked out because it was a debit card, and I did not have the funds available when I made the reservation. They charged my account anyway, then I was told that they ""verify all credit cards"", which means they charge you ahead of time. When I discussed this with them, they said if it was returned they would cancel my reservation. So, after they canceled my reservation, I called them back. They reserved me the same room at a higher rate and didnt require my card to be ""verified"". When I got there, they were not friendly, they charged me $30 more for the room, and it was smoking. When we got to the room, there were cigarette butts on the floor, 3 towels and washclothes that felt like they had been purchased at Odd Lots, and it smelled like smoke. I paid $258 + tax for a room that was usually $70 + tax just because it was Derby weekend, and I wasnt even in town for the Derby! I was there for a concert and barely spent 17 hours in the room. Then, I sent an email to Super 8 corporate, and they said this motel is franchised and I would have to speak to their manager about my situation, which is who didn't cooperate with me in the first place!! This will definitely be my last stay at a Super 8, and especially at this one.
