This place is amazing. A friend and I recently visited Expressions of You this past saturday night and we were amazed. The atmosphere was urban, and somewhat ecelctic, yet humble and comforting. The people there were very hospitable, and showed great courtesy to us as guests. The the poets got up and recited words that were amazing, so real, vibrant, and deep. It kept my absolute interest the entire time. Overall I would have to say that this small spot on eighteenth and Muhammad Ali is a hidden treasure full of style, taste, hospitality and reality and it can be counted on my return. Kudos to the owners, two thumbs up.
This is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. My family and I eat here regularly for breakfast and for lunch. Chef/Owner Mike Ross is not only talented and creative, but he is also a super-nice person! I know the food is always going to be fresh and delicious. My vegetarian and vegan friends like eating there because they get so many choices for things to eat. Carnivorous sorts also have plenty of dishes to chose from. The service is great and friendly and the prices reasonable. Try it!!
Among the many coffeehouse choices in the Highlands, this is my favorite. It's a friendly, welcoming spot that serves up well made expresso drinks, a dark and medium roast brew, and an excellent iced dark roast or hazelnut that stands up to the ice. They have a nice "bring your own cup" price and discounted refills for coffee. You can also get a few sandwiches, scones, muffins and desserts. Enjoy!
This was my first, but definitely not last vist to Ramsi's Cafe. I was on a dinner date w/ someone who actually lives in Atlanta but visits Ramsi's EVERY time they visit Louisville. I checked out the reviews ahead of time & most were good. I always judge for myself and I am please to say I would & shall highly recommend this restaurant. The food was great & the service was excellent!!!
Though it doesn't look it, being a small restaurant sitting in a corner of a quaint little shopping center, Corner Cafe will deliver a blow of taste so powerful, it will knock you out of your seat. From country cooking to italian bistro, and everything in between, Corner Cafe has many diverse meals that will amaze and astound you. And you will want more. Believe me. Delicious!
Ramses has always been my favorite place to eat since the day the doors opened. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here wondering if they can overnight any of their meals to Florida!! The Calamari & the Brie are to ABSOLUTELY die for-this has not changed , I know for sure. I was there last month! A must do if you are in town....
The Butterfly Garden Cafe is wonderful. They have fresh and delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. I am there often and I see people having birthday parties, showers, and even the red hat ladies come in. Both locations are great. Be sure to ask about having a tea!
I never get tired of the fresh food choices, feminine atmosphere or pleasent staff. My favorite lunch spot in the city. This is the kind of place you can enjoy a small business lunch or a nice treat with your best friends. Emily is wonderful.
Ramsi's menu is diverse and delicious! There is something for every taste bud, and the atmosphere is cozy and eclectic. My only complaint is parking can be hard to find, but that is typical Bardstown Rd.
The coffee here is great, and if its too hot for coffee, try the frozen cappucino they keep on tap all year long. They have fair trade products, and are very community oriented.
