HAD MY 2016 KIA FORTE TOWED TO THEIR LOT ON 12/2/17 DUE TO MOTOR ISSUES. WAS TOLD MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO DRAIN PLUG COMING OUT WHERE MEINKE HAD CHANGED THE OIL. MEINKE AND MEINKE'S INSURANCE ISSUED ME A CHECK FOR A NEW MOTOR FOR 5750.00. I TOOK THE CHECK OVER TO KIA SERVICE AND HAD BEEN WORKING WITH ANNA AT THAT TIME AND SIGNED IT OVER TO THEM. WHERE THEY COULD ORDER THE NEW MOTOR. COME TO FIND OUT THE MOTOR WAS ON BACK ORDER WITH NO ETA. FOLLOWED UP WITH THEM ABOUT EVERY WEEK WORKING WITH ANNA. I GET A PHONE CALL FROM THE SERVICE MANAGER MICHAEL PRESTIGIACOMO ON 2/26/18 AND TOLD ME THAT THE CAR GOT FLOODED ON THEIR LOT ON 2/24/18. HE DIDNT KNOW HOW BAD REALLY, BUT SAID THEY WERENT LIABLE IT WAS A NATURAL DISASTER AND THAT I NEEDED TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY. SO I WENT OVER THERE AFTER I CALLED MY INSURANCE AND MIKE AND ANNA CAME OUT BUT MIKE WENT BACK IN REALLY QUICK. ANNA STOOD OUT THERE AND TOLD ME AND MY WIFE BOTH THAT THEY STAYED LATE ON FRIDAY 2/23/18 TO MOVE ALL VEHICLES THAT THEY COULD EXCEPT FOR 3 OF THEM WHICH ALL 3 THAT DIDNT GET MOVED INCLUDED OURS WAS NEEDING MOTORS. THEY CAME IN ON SATURDAY AND SHE SAID EVERY THING WAS FINE NOTHING GOT FLOODED, BUT DIDNT THINK ABOUT IT HAPPENING ON THAT SATURDAY NIGHT.DUE TO THE NEGLECT OF THE KIA STORE EAST. I SENT PICTURES TO MY INSURACE AND THEY RECOMMENDED TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THERE LOT FOR EVALUATION OF DAMAGE, I AGREED. IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS ON 3/5/18. I HAVE REQUESTED THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE CHECK I SIGNED OVER TO THEM BUT MIKE IS TELLING MY INSURANCE AND MY SELF THAT HE IS GOING TO DEDUCT $345.19 OUT FOR RESTOCKING FEES AND DIAGNOSIC CHARGES FOR PARTS. WHICH ANNA NEVER SAID THAT ANY PARTS HAD CAME IN OR ORDERED EXCEPT FOR THE MOTOR.
