I’ve never actually been there but I bet it’s amazing. I mean like I’m gonna go there so I can exchange some books because I’m tryna go to camp with my church this summer and I need money and I think they pay you if you give them your books but honestly idk. But I’m almost positive like I would bet my life that it is awesome.
I had an excellent time at the david friedlander antique store. The friendly faces behind the counter were happy to answer any questions I had and …
The address is 119 Evergreen Rd., Louisville, KY 40253, not the address currently shown on this yellowpages site.
The Book Attic was wonderful for me. Had the books I was looking for and more. The woman there was super helpful, patient and friendly. I will be going back frequently. Thanks!
Be sure to look through the book to make all the pages are there. The dictionary I bought was missing half the words beginning with the letter A.
I contacted the owner via the web site and bought the book I wanted on his doorstep ... literally. I would love to have browsed a bit, but a nasty storm was supposed to be a-comin' through, thus the rush buying. I will return another time. The book is as described (signed and in fine/like new condition). He also very kindly honored an online coupon, which is very much appreciated. Thank you, Mr Johmann.
An employee at BME on Bardstown road stole a SD card from a 2DS of mine. When I called once I realized it was gone he said that "He didn't have access to it tonight and can bring it in, in the morning." When I called today asking if it was there he said "Yes I brought it from home." I have this all on voice recording. When I called and talked to a manager he said that customers leave stuff all the time and they cant sell it so the employees keep it. Even though I can show the voice recording stating otherwise they did not care.
I'm glad to see reviews where people were helped and not hung up on, I called to inquire if they had a book I have been looking for and before I could finish asking if they had it I was told no we don't have it and hung up on! Even if they didnt have the book the lady could have atleast been friendly and would have gotten a new customer :(
The nicest, friendliest, and most courteous assistance of any book store in louisville, and I have been to or talked to them all!!! Huge selection of books and the best part is if they don't have it they will help you find it! #keep it local!
My family and I have bought many books and a few other things from Barnes and Noble at the Summit in Louisville. We will never again shop there. My husband bought the wrong book for a Christmas gift and lost the receipt. They are very unaccommodating regarding returns, even when you have a rewards account with them. I got only half of the cost of the book back, even though my husband paid full price. I wish I had just donated the book to a church or school or something.
I find Book & Music Exchange much more attractive to shop at now that they have lowered their pricing on CD's. They have a rather large selection and while some of it is not anything I'm interested in, I have found a lot of great stuff there over time. Their pricing of 5 CD's for $20 or 11 for $40 makes them a much better deal than say, Half Price Books, or some other stores in the area, and one can find stuff there that can't be found anywhere else in this area. I can't really say a lot about the "atmosphere" of the store because there really isn't much of one, but for a relatively "no frills" shopping experience this is the place to go.
