I walked in to uncle Miltie‘s with my SideArm attached because it is my second amendment right and I was told to leave the store. A little punk behind the counter young nerd said he was the only one with a loaded gun. That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard considering they sell guns. I don’t advise this pawnshop to no one because evidently they are not for our Second Amendment rights
Terrible shop. Used to be the best - don’t know what happened. They will start degrading and diminishing your item before they even get their hands on it. Brought in a camera and 2 lenses (all Sony) that was two months old, purchased for $2450. The max loan they offered was $75. No joke! The people that work there are quite unfriendly and act like they don’t want to be there. Save your gas and time and go elsewhere. Pawn shops exist to make money but Uncle Miltie’s is extreme, a blatant rip-off.
They have great quality merchandise and amazing prices! Anytime I've went there looking for something in particular they are a great help!!!
If you are a bike enthusiast and you like to assemble bikes yourselves, I can suggest buying parts here. Most are branded but cheap.
I live close by to this place but always passed up the option to stop in there when I needed to get a pawn loan, I don't really know why but anyways I will never pass by them again! They have the nicest people who work there, the lady that helped me out was so understanding of my situation and I recommend them to anybody!! And on top of them helping me with the loan I needed, they have some REALLY NICE merchandize for sale! Unlike all the rest of the pawn shops out there, they do have the same ole same ole jewelry that all the others have, but they also have a lot of unique, gorgeous jewelry that none of the others have! I will always go to Uncle Miltie's from now on, and I recommend you do the same!! Thank you, Misty S.
6/13/2011- Prior to visiting this store, I took my daughter's bike to one of or maybe even the best known bike store in Louisville. That store is in the neighborhood and I've also used them in the past. Never again!! I needed to purchase a bicycle chain and have it installed. That store was going to charge $15 for the chain + $15 labor for a 10 minute, if that, job (install a bike chain) and on top on that I would have to leave it and pick up on Wed (the 15th). I totally understand there are other customers in front of me, but 2 days to install a chain for a kid's bike that only takes 15 minutes tops? Then I found The Bike Shop (2833 4th Street-around noon on 6/13). The chain was more reasonable and t didn't cost me as much to have it installed. Plus he aired the tires. Airing tires seems small, but I would not have been surprised if the other store didn't charge me $3-$5 to do that. I will tell all my friends about the Bike Shop. True I had something simple done, but the top notch service I received from the guy working there is something that can't be brought. Sorry I didn't get the guys name, but thanks for helping me make one of my daughter's birthday wishes come true.
