Okay. After my first visit to Silvio's I can definitively say it is the BEST Italian restaurant in Louisville and would be tops of many other markets in the country or world. I have travelled much and was raised in New England. Italian is perhaps my favorite food of all and Silvio's delivers the esthetics and flavors required in a Top Shelf restaurant. The owner/chef is an extremely personable gentleman who had my wife, daughter and my full attention when he visited our table. We felt like we were greatly welcomed and trusted his suggestions completely which ALL turned out to be perfect. Our waiter and other servers were very attentive, bringing us bread, water and whatever else we needed without prompting. The restaurant is tastefully decorated including white table cloths with famous classic crooners are heard lightly in the background. The menu highlights the classic fare found at all italian restaurants, plus some I haven't seen before. I went with the 2 specials of the night; ravioli with Italian sausage and the kale and beet salad. The presentations were food magazine worthy and the flavors bursted on my taste buds. My wife ordered Silvio's chicken with potatoes and broccoli which she loved and I agreed after a taste. She liked my dish also which I shared. Our daughter ordered her favorite dish (fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp) and found it to be the BEST she ever had. She can't wait to come back. The food is superb and Silvio is a pleasure to visit with. He makes you feel like you have been best friends forever. Their bread is to die for and their desserts are sublime. We had lemon and peanut butter Cannoli's and the sweet italian cream cake. Silvio's isn't just the #1 Italian restaurant in Louisville. It is running with the Top Guns of ANY venue. It is a must try for anyone who seeks finer dining. The prices are fair for the quality served and the service rivals the best I received anywhere. Silvio's provides an Experience that is lacking at most restaurants. We look forward to our next visit and I am completely confident in taking family and friends there for an exquisite dinner. Silvio's is a true 5 star restaurant in every way.
I saw where you were under new management and decided to try Tuscany again, but much to my disappointment your wheat selections are very limited. I asked the Kelly, the asst. mgr. if there was any wheat items and her response was yes, tortellini. I told Kelly that was what I wanted, she told me someone else would wait on me. Christa came up and I asked her about the wheat where as she showed me on the back of the menu items made w/wheat. I asked for cal zones which she responded that they were not made of wheat. Then she turned the menu and showed me the items on the back of wheat. I told her I would take the Burrito(never having a wheat one, I decided on that). After a short wait, she came to my table and I told her to make the order "to go". Upon arriving home, I opened my order and there was this big white burrito w/cream sauce(Alfredo). I called back and talked w/Crista and Kelly and they responded that they were sorry. My order was over $10 and it was money wasted. I had an order that was not what I ordered and I am stuck w/dissatisfaction. If this is new ownership, give it up!
Fabulous atmosphere and space. Great bar area at NuLu which is part of Mozz. Interesting concept - kind of hard to navigate the menus - three large menus. Great live music trio. All the food was delicious, well proportioned but expensive. Our waitress was not great, but she didn't ruin the experience. The farm-to-table items were special treats and I'm willing to pay a little more for that. The fresh, warm bread may have been the highlight of the evening! Great cocktail, albeit $10, and very nice wine selection. Mozzarella "bar" and antipasto were very good. Two pizza and two pasta dishes were wonderful but not so unique that I haven't had better. Dessert was slightly above standard. I think unless you have money and time to spend leisurely, I'd skip the meal but make a special trip there for the NuLu bar area and starters.
I had the distinct displeasure of encountering Jonathan. I don't know how he got hired at one of Louisville's premier dining locations. He was rude, spoke in a condescending tone, meddling, never smiled, and never so much as offered me a drink of water! He made me feel as unwelcome as a rodent and served no real purpose. He would fail customer service 101 at Chik-fil-a! Abigail and Jeremiah, on the other hand, really exemplified team spirit and anticipated my every need. If I return to Vincenzo's or recommend my friends to visit there, it would be for the food and service with a smile provided by Abigail and Jeremiah.
The place seemed a little greasy in the entrance, but the owner seemed helpful 'cept the way he barked at his employees, the food,,, I ordered a gyros and it was passed off in an tortilla, stale and crunchy " the "Lamb was obviously old and crusty around the edges, and the cucumber dill dressing was watery and tasteless The baklava was soggy, but did have a good flavor nonetheless.
I have been to Bravo's many times with a group or just my husband or a friend. I have always found the food and service to be excellent. Only one time was the food a disappointment, when I found the dish to be too spicy. After telling the server she asked me to order something different, which was promptly brought to me.I will definately be going back to eat at Bravo's again and again.
My friends and I all swore this was the best restaurant we'd tried in years. I had the chicken marsala with a side of spinach, which I highly recommend. The portions were perfect, leaving room for their fabulous cannolli. And I had to double-check the bill to make sure they hadn't undercharged me! I'll be going back soon :)
We has guest that had never been to porcinis. We went derby weekend, we went after oaks, dinner was very well prepared, I had ribeye and it had a small amount of a buttery sauce on top that was awesome. The chicken pasta was excellent, they were very busy but we were well taken care of, we will be back very soon. David george
Very good food and service on a Friday evening. We ordered the Tuscany Tilapia and Tri-color Tortellini for Lent. (pictured) We also added garden salads. Total bill was $27. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to Walmart but it has two sections with plenty of tables. We will go back again.
Yesterday, a friend and I, chose to dine at this Fazoli's. Neither of us had been to Fazoli's in a while, we were very pleasantly surprised. The way the food was served and the quality were top notch. I had the Italian Chicken Asiago Melt, and that is all we can talk about. It was absolutely fabulous!!!!
