Took Andrew Wood's acting essentials class. It was a challenging class, but Andrew is a gifted teacher who really motivated me to excellence. Because I gained so much from his class, I have already re-enrolled for his next class. Before I took his course, I told Andrew what I was looking for in my next acting class: 1) a workable technique; 2) a college-level curriculum; and 3) a safe learning place. When I took his class, I quickly discovered that his class met these objectives and more. Andrew integrated Stanislavsky and Yale School techniques into his class. For me, the best classes occur when both the teacher and student work together. When one attends an acting class, the actor should come prepared, thereby getting the most benefit from class. In Andrew's class, I was expected to complete weekly reading assignments, to integrate class taught techniques into my weekly rehearsals and to be ready to perform my scene when called upon. When I performed my scene, Andrew would query me on my character and the scene. Since the play (that I was working on) required careful reading and analysis, I honestly felt this was difficult, but a very rewarding part of the scene study. In a nutshell, once we unlocked my character's critical characteristics and underlying objective, my scene work grew more natural and interesting to watch. Andrew guided me through the process. If there is one thing that I can say about Andrew, teaching and directing his students is not only his talent, but his crown jewel. Furthermore, I noted my fellow classmates were fully committed to do the work necessary to improve their acting. And now for the icing on the cake....Several weeks into class, I was offered a role to play a doctor in an independent short film. To better prepare for the role, I used the practical techniques taught by Andrew and thereby, gained higher confidence in my acting.
This is a review of the portfolio and foundation art education studies college prep program that is offered at Los Angeles Art League. When I first started the art I had some concerns about my future. But I was at a crossroads at this point of my life since I was started the art at the Los Angeles Art League. I've decided to go to art school to brush up my skills that would be used in the Art and Design field. For the most part I felt that the curriculum in the few years that I've participated was very detailed and offered a good of challenge. In some of the core courses for the art they first teach me how to use the secret of various art techniques and then they lead to guide me creativity. The instructors for the most part are real great. Especially, the principal David Shin is a really outstanding instructor. His drawing, painting and traditional Master techniques from New York are unbelievably perfect and professional. I am really impressed by his helpful leadership. He is a good mentor. Finally, I was admitted to top Art Schools and Ivy League Universities with high scholarship even though I feel that I do not have enough skills to get an entry to the art world. I will work hard and become a professional artist. I hope you’ll learn a lot from the various good program being offered at Los Angeles Art League.
In the past I have taken acting classes, while being a great help, didn't give me what I really needed and wanted out of a class. I wanted to dive into a scene. break it down, discover the character, discover things about the character inside the material. all i wanted i found in andrews class. The initial meeting over coffee to discuss not only his expectations of the class but yours as well (i thought unorthodox at time) really put my mind at ease with the decision i had to make. No other class did that, and I liked it. His passion for the craft encouraged me to constantly look for more about the character i was playing and made me feel free enough to make choices, right or wrong. The reading assignments that are given is from material written by some of the greatest in the field of acting. Every week there was something new to read and something new to help piece together the work. Techniques that will be readily available when you need them. I have taken one cycle of the class and already know that if you're new to acting or someone who wants to continue to create great work, I highly recommend Andrew Wood Acting Studio!
After taking a cycle of Andrew Wood's essentials course, I felt as though I had finally found the Acting Teacher who could help me realize my potential. What I appreciate about the course is just how challenging it is. Andrew will provide you with the tools and techniques to help you analyze a given scene and connect to the character. The REAL magic happens when you do the scene work and are able to put those tools to the test and see exactly how it all works. Andrew will help you along the way with insightful questions and comments to get you to reach a visceral level of performance, which is the goal. If you respect and love Acting as a craft, and have an unquenchable passion for it, Andrew Wood Acting Studio would be my first recommendation. It is a no frills, no bull, MEATY ACTING CLASS. I am currently in my second cycle of the essentials course and look forward to taking more classes.
I have been using Gina for the past 16 years. She is the first woman owner private contractor with school busesin the business. This is a family business. Her office staff is completely run by family which I love. All of gina staff, and drivers are always friendly, have patience with customers and are very well educated professionals. I have tried large bus companies all the way down to small independent contractors and there services were horriable. With Gina you wont experience that, her buses are always clean and they always smell good. I use Gina for all our family events, my company events and kids birthday parties. She has a cool game bus and everybody loves this.I hope she dont retire anytime soon but if she did she has a wonderful family that would continue her business. Very seldom you see a owner thats hands on and drive as well. I recommend her to everybody.
I wish I would have known about your facility when I had my other pets. Because of Patrick & Song, I signed up for training and finally had Heidi groomed by Song. Everything was great, I want to recommend your staff for not only professionalism, but for their obvious love of what they do. It truly reflects on their performance. I will be a dedicated customer to K9's Only for all my pets needs and recommend you to all my friends. Thanks again
I am very pleased with this school!! I got my IV/Blood Withdrawal certificate here. I like how the school lets you reserve a seat for only $50, and you dont have to pay the school everything to register. There are other available discounts. I learned a lot from the class, and I enjoyed the instructors. It was a fun group of students!
Wow! This is so cool what you all do for these foster dogs... I'm currently helping a rescue myself and know how resilient these dogs are. The one I'm helping was overweight and apathetic, now she looks like a show dog and acting like the Queen of the Castle. Keep up the good deeds!
I recently used K9’s Only to board my dog and had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and the entire process went very smoothly for us. They took excellent care of Gracie and I could tell they gave her lots of love and attention. I will definitely use them again!
they have small and large dog day care and really keep an eye on the energy. They evaluate and continue to evaluate every dog that comes to daycare, and if you are a dog person you understand this is crucial. Everyday the energy could change just by one dog.
