My 70 mother has been living alone since she was 60 years of age and when we asked her to shift to a retirement home last year, we accepted resistance. However, one of her friends was a resident of Hollenbeck Palms and that’s where she wanted to go. With regular trips with her friends to the museum, shows, restaurants, and of curse, evening bingo and music, we could not have asked for a better care facility.
After I was admitted to this filthy hospital, I laid in bed for over an hour and ironically NO ONE came into during that hour to check on me or ever gave me a wristband. (The paramedics put me to bed) When someone did come into my room my health was NOT a issue as they came to SEARCH me and my belongings. When I refused to let a lady with NO hospital i.d. search me I was escorted out by security.
I toured this facility and found the staff friendly and helpful. They directed me to who I was visiting and even walked with me to the room. The building smelled fresh and the garden was very pretty with blooming flowers. Staff went out of my way to make sure that I parked on the right side of the street because of street cleaning days, and I was impressed that they took the time to care that I did not get a ticket. I think that shows a good example of the type of care they provide their patients.
Hung up on me when I asked for pricing. This process is hard enough, and they definitely did not make it any easier. Really disappointing. Do not bother calling them.
Country Villa Wilshire really took care of my dad. Rehab team is one of the best!!! Nurses were very nice and made his stay there even better!
REVIEW9/8/16I apologize for graphic photo but the truth must be told!I rarely give bad reviews, however when I do it's real. My mother was admitted to Culver West Hospital after being discharged from Kaiser too early. What followed with Culver West Heath Center was a nightmare. Although some of the staff were helpful, most weren't. They have one Doctor (Dr. David C. Chang) who works for several facilities and is rarely available. That being said my mother got multiple large bed soars along with two infections in 10 days. One infection was due to feces backed up into her intestines because the nurses did not do there job while under Dr. Chang's care.I'm suing Dr. David Clifford Chang in small claims court October 2016. I would urge anyone to not place your parent or loved one in this facility unless they are able to talk and move around physically. Do not depend on this center for anything as they're motto is "it's not my job".Thank you for reading
HORRIBLE PLACE! I pray that the people who read this don't send their loved ones here. The girls dance in people's beds and post it on Snapchat! They never bathe the patients, they complain when they have to change the patients diapers, the 3-11pm shift girls are in the break room sleep, the girls have tattoos all over their faces, long red weaves, they wear jeans instead of scrubs, uggs instead of the proper shoes, it always stinks, rooms are dirty, etc. I hated it and I can't believe this place exists. Some girls there do NOT have their licenses yet they are still on the schedule. I can go on and on. It is horrible. Please do not send your loved ones here.
Spoke to Xavier...real nice guy to say the least. Also told me I have no clue how star ratings work! heres how star ratings work. I say your company is worth 1 star out of 5...people then either trust my opinion or dont!!!1STAR
First off, the name of the facility has been changed to Lakeview Terrace Convalescent Home. A good friend of mine has recently been admitted here. I've visited her, and I'm going again today. The staff here make the facility. They are competent, friendly and caring. I've worked in a convalescent home so I know what I'm talking about. Great staff. Very attentive.
This place is horrible dirty just nasty. Who puts 4 people in room with 2 TV'S to share. Only 2 people can see. Old lac usc was not this bad. My daughter is on med surg it's combined with maternity ward. Who does that. The nurses don't explain what they are about to do you they just do it. They are painting & doing construction all while patients are in rooms. IPA'S & ins companies need to investigate where they are sending there patients.
