The owner (Max) at 10 Minute is a great guy who you should definitely develop a relationship with as your go-to mechanic. Over the last several years I have had everything from simple oil changes to major repairs done by Max and he has always given me an honest estimate that was consistent with the actual work done. I have had a vehicle towed from several miles away just to get Max to do it a few years ago because I suspected unnecessary repairs were built into the recommendation. I got Max's opinion and was glad I did the tow. In the last three years I have been going elsewhere only because I had warranty service under a lease term but now that I've purchased the vehicle I'm back to using 10 Minute on a regular basis. I've also referred a friend who has brought his vehicle from Burbank just to have Max do his estimates and repairs. The late hours are also super flexible. Don't go to a chain store before getting an estimate here!

I have been coming to this shop for many many years (decades). A father and son team who took care of my mom and dad's cars and now me and my siblings. They always conduct business professionally, quickly and fair! First of all the owner tries to scam you into getting a transmission oil change for $95!! Which I didn't get bc my transmission oil wasn't even brown yet! But I wish I could give them negative stars bc they left the front of my van an oily mess!!! I went back to have it cleaned off and the guy claims that it's not from them!! Give me a break!!!
Bell Gardens Location:My 1992 Honda Accord had a lower coolant bypass hose which started leaking badly.The business owner here told me "it would take 2-3 hours" thinking I was going to leave and come back later for my car BUT I stayed there and waited.It took about 45-55 minutes to walk across the street to Autozone, purchase the hose, remove the old one and install the new one.Hose ($6.96) with labor = $200.00 That's right $200.00IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF, HERE'S THE PLACE !!!
This is an okay location to get your oil changed, but I do feel they routinely try to upsell you on services you probably don't need.
Meh. I took my SUV in here for an oil change. They spend half of the time they are changing the oil trying to upsell you on anything and everything. Then, to close things, I asked them to make sure that they topped up the spare tire, which is on the bottom of the car. Since it was installed with the stem up (not accessible from under the car), they asked me to crawl under and take it out and they would fill it up. Um, no. I came here to have my car serviced, not to do the work myself. I won't be going back.
This place is the worst, customer service the worst, it took an hour for an oil change and there were only one other the person there. after the service I got to my hotel and there was oil everywhere under my truck (my new truck) they sent someone to check it and found I had a hole in my oil cooled right next to the filter, so I almost ran it out of oil. they said they didn't work on that part so it wasn't there fault, and said if i drive it up in the morning they'd look at it. (it was leaking all of it's oil out of it) so they put a hole in my oil cooler during the service and left me stranded while I was out of town. I had to rent a car, have my truck towed to the dealer and it looks like it will be 650 to repair it. I got there with a new truck the needed an oil change and left with one that couldn't be used, they offered no help when I needed to get to work the next day and said it wasn't there fault, If I could give them a minus rating I would. Do yourself a favor and never spend any of your money there.
I have been patronizing Jiffy Lube on Labrea and Melrose in Los Angeles for close to 20 years and I have never been fleeced like this before. With a supposed $50.00 dollar discount, my bill for a routine oil change and service came to $428.00. I took my invoice to another mechanic that works at an auto parts store to evaluate the services and was informed that many of them are frivolous. When I went back to ask why I was advised to purchase these services, the two mechanics on duty could not explain why I was toldto get a power steering flush for $84.50, when it is only recommended every 100,000 miles. (My car has only 25,000 miles) I was also charged $70.00 dollars extra for an engine flush. The oil change takes out all the old oil. This is not a necessary procedure that reputable mechanics would recommend. I presented a $10.00 off coupon and they charged me $8.00 to be an annual member of a service that I will never use again. There were another host of labor charges for items like window wipers that auto supply stores will install complimentary.There are a lot of negative reviews of this predatory company for a very good reason. They do not have business morals and integrity and are not interested in building a strong customer relationship based on honesty and goodwill. I tried to talk to a manager twice today about this overcharge and was told that there is no manager on duty until tomorrow. The service advisers probably get a commission on the charges. I really regret trusting this corrupt business and feel compelled to warn my YP Family and friends about it.
