I paid $32 for a wash , condition, and blow dry. Previously I went to a Beauty Salon for the same thing and paid only $20. My hair was soft and flowing. From this place, Pacific Beauty College, the edges of my head around my face was never touched by water. My hair came out hard and un-manageable. Probably because the shampoo and conditioner are rationed regardless to the length or thickness of the hair. The same amount was used for my son's head too. He went for the same thing, same time. The size container used when you receive takeout dressing for salad was used for shampoo and an even smaller container was used for the conditioner. I will never go back. You only receive one opportunity to get it right. You should know what you're doing. It's not complicated. I had to redo my hair myself. What I should have done in the beginning. No, I'll never go back!
Best advice I could ever give anyone is to join the Michael Vincent Academy. I had the best experience and the staff is wonderful. Tal B, Michael and Nikki you guys made me feel at home and made me believe that can can truly strive for success. If anyone has a passion for makeup, hair, etc you should go for a tour at MVA.
I went here and after a couple of times was told I dont have the right to pick a student anymore by the vulture named Ivana she is the teacher, she then proceeded to assign two students that told me they had only been in the school for two weeks!! Would you want a students like this cutting, perming or coloring your hair with only 2 weeks training? The state cosmetology board rules and regulations state a student must have at least 160 hrs. before they are allowed to touch a client. The last time I went here I was assigned a student that abruptly anounced she had an appointment and left without even finishing leaving me in the chair!! I asked for my money back and left and came home and decided time to write a review of this "school".
They should call this place Ghetto Beauty School, It Sucks. I bet this is where Kim Jong Un goes to get his haircut. I went here to get my hair cut and highlights, my hair was cut uneven and they kept having to cut more hair off to even it up till I told them to stop because it was so short at that point I knew better than to let them give me highlights. Have you ever been to a salon or anyplace for that matter where you pay before services are rendered?
Thanks to the nasty attitude of the teacher at this school I will never spend my money here ever ever again. I took my 8 year old to get her first press and curl and she was a little nervous so the student doing her hair asked me to come sit close by. The teacher with a nasty, snotty, attitude told me I had to wait in the waiting area. It wasn't what she said, it was how she said it.Needless to say, I won't spend money at this place again. besides the tude my hairdresser charges around the same as the beauty school. I only stopped here because it was close to my house.
I was a cosmetology student a few years ago.I am graduate from cosmetology. I am very pleased with the education teachers and staff. I loved it.
