James and his crew just left for the long journey back to LA, and I feel it is the least I can do now to write them a glowing review. They first came into our home while I was in a panic. I was convinced we were not going to have time to get everything done and that we would have to leave half of our things behind or face missing our flight altogether. So, my husband called Peak Van Lines who we've actually already scheduled to have come over the next day and move everything for us, to see if it would be too late to also employed there packing services. They said they had a pretty busy day but they could send a couple people over to help. Within an hour James and one other guy showed up, and the three of us as well as my 15-year-old son finally got everything done, everything packed and everything cleaned up. In fact, I know they didn't have to help a sweep up. There's nothing in their services that says they'll do this, but they were very helpful and saw that I was stressed and took the time to care. Then the next day the move happened as scheduled, we were able to catch our flight, and in the end everything arrived in one piece at our new home with time to spare. This would not have happened if they had not been so flexible and thoughtful, and I am unbelievably grateful to have had their help. James and his crew are an absolute delight and if we eve move cross country again we will absolutely be using them.
I'm not a huge fan of moving. I mean I know nobody really is, but this is only the second move I've done in my life, the first being out of my parents house at 18 and now I am 34. I found an apartment I liked and I stuck with it. Unfortunately, my career now requires me to relocate and that comes before my dislike of moving itself. So, I packed everything up (a significantly larger task then when I moved the first time as I've obviously accumulated some things over the years), and called Peak Van Lines. They showed up and made the entire ordeal a bit less painful for me by getting things moved quickly, not asking too many questions and generally keeping me out of the process just as I'd wished. Each box was labeled, so I really didn't have a lot to do. They also helped me get a few things set up in my new place (where hopefully I can just stay put for many years to come), which I really appreciated. If I do have to move again at any point in the future, and I really hope that doesn't happen, I will turn to these guys to help me out again.
I gave them a call and ask them a bunch of questions and the guy was like i can send you a link to our site so you can get more information, they had so much information especially the " What Moving Supplies Will You Need? " page that was awesome so i called the guy back and asked if he could stop by and check out my place, he agreed and showed up and gave me a great run down of what can be done and a great price so i was on aboard right away, so we went to the bank, paid him off , i stop by the business and picked up all the stuff i would need for the time being until they got there the next day. so that whole day i was packing all the small stuff and all that was left was the big stuff. The next morning these men showed up ready to work, Young and full of energy and professional! They wrapped what needed to be, was really careful with the delicate stuff and had everything in the truck in a matter of hours. I really appreciate you guys and the great work you done.
When we hired these guys we told them we had two separate drop off locations. One would be in the heart of downtown, and the other would be a storage unit about twenty minutes (or so Google Maps said) away. We asked them if this would be a problem and they assured us it wouldn't be. After they got our stuff into our apartment, I was too tired to go to the unit with them. So, I asked if I could give them the key. I know probably should have gone, but I asked anyway and they said it wasn't an issue. They apparently had no issues getting there, unloaded everything, then drove all the way back just to give me back my key! I thought this was really great of them and definitely an above and beyond sort of job effort, so I of course had to share it with everyone else here. They are a great company, and you should use them if you can.
So, we didn't use their packing service, we just hired them to physically move our stuff. As far as the move itself when that was good. No complaints everything went smoothly. Where they really went above and beyond though is when they were unloading our things. We of course are slightly and organized and just wanted to get everything packed. So, we didn't put labels on almost anything and there was no way to tell where things went. That said they stayed for an extra half hour to help us move around boxes in the different rooms as we figured out where they were each supposed to go. That was absolutely more than I expected and I give them a full five stars. I'd give them more if I could.
I was extremely nervous when we decided to move from LA to Boston. It's a huge move, not just out of town, but across the entire country! That said, there was just too good a job opportunity out there for me to pass up. So, we packed up our belongings and hired Peak Van Lines to get up there. Of course we knew a move like this would exactly be cheap, but it was, all things considered, surprisingly affordable. Additionally, I was pleased with the fact that all our items actually arrived at our new home, despite being shipped from so far away. I'm very happy with the service we received and it made the whole ordeal a little less nerve-wracking overall.
I have so say I was nervous about hiring these guys at first. First off, I've used movers in the past, and it hasn't always gone over so well. I've had movers arrive drastically late, I've had them mishandle my belongings, I've had things arrive scuffed and broken, etc. That said, there was no way I was moving from Washington to Colorado without the help of movers. So I went ahead and took the plunge with Peak Van Lines and I have to say I am pleased with the result. They were the picture of professional and got everything to my new home in CO without a problem. Because of this, if I ever move back home to WA I will use them again.
Me and my roommates where moving from West Hollywood to Silver Lake. Guys from Town Moving came strict on time, they was organized, polite and professional.First they've done boxes. Then they packed all our furniture in blankets and plastic wrap so everything was perfectly protected. I saw them loading the truck and I bet these guys will beat me in Tetris! :) Unload went fast and smooth, cause we was smart enough to order them some food for lunch and bottles with water was on site all the time.So yeah, good service for low price. Isn't it what you where looking for? And again thanks guys from Town Moving for all the hard work!
I am slightly astonished that not a single one of our items arrived with a scratch, scuff mark or indication that it has just been moved nearly 1,500 miles. Of course I would expect this paying for a moving company if we'd just been moving to a few towns away, but I'd resigned myself to the fact we'd probably have a few bumps and scratches to contend with when we arrived at our new home seeing as it was such a significant time and space to journey. When we got too our new home however, this was not the case and I am just over the moon! They clearly know what they are doing and I give them my whole hearted recommendation!
I've hired out work from many moving companies in the past but CalState Moving Co has by far provided me with the best experience. Excellent communication, professional service and everything was exactly as promised--every step of the way.I really can't compliment this company enough. From start to finish Levin and his team provided me with a far superior experience than most other moving companies I've worked with--and at a MUCH better price too. I would recommend these guys to anyone I know, family and friends included, that need a moving company/service, and I look forward to using them again in the future!
