Was visiting on of my favorite boutiques on La Brea and the owner was wearing a fabulous pairs of heels. I asked her where she had purchased those beauties... She sent me to Xtc shoes on Melrose Ave.
I have lived in the Los Angeles area for over 10 years and had never gone to Melrose. Mainly because of the conception that most of the stores are just selling down town items for higher prices. In regards to Xtc, I was wrong. Custom made shoes in America and many other adorable brands that I do not see to often. I left with a few great pairs and have found a new place to splurge on shoes.

If I were a shoe boutique, I would be just like XTC...
This is hands down my favorite shoe shop in the city of Angels. I have been shopping with them since the mid 1990's and have yet to leave the shop without purchasing numerous pairs of shoes. I can always count on them to have a good selection of heels, wedges and boots.
Ladies, dont be discouraged by the prices. They always have a killer sale section. I bought LAMB shoes for $100.00 and a pair of Dolce Vita boots for $120.00.
There's a fine line between being sexy and not and unfortunately I have a rather big foot (size 10 1/2). I used to could have gone to Nordroms but even they are cutting back on the big sizes.
Was shopping at OSA on Melrose and low and behold happened to run across to 7603 Melrose, XTC Shoes. I think I found a piece of heaven, or died and found heaven. The nice gentleman there directed me to the XTC line of shoes because in most of them I could have made in my size and not have to compromise the fit due to product size limitations. They apparently have a factory here in LA and I even was able to special order shoes in colors that they currently do not have in store. WONDERFUL... Just what a girl wants... so I ordered 3 pair, the colors in which I could use and they will be ready in about 3 weeks, just in time for Vegas. I am beside myself with gratefullness and appreciation. I don't think I will shop anywhere else for my footwear needs. These shoes aren't for everyone but for the ones who wants to stand out and be in sexy high heels, this is the place for you. Try them, you'll love the shoes and the people who work there rock. I am telling all my friends of this place and for anyone who has big feet like me, don't fret, check them out... won't be disappointed.
My friend Tina led me on to this place. WONDERFUL !!! I live in Newport Beach and there is no shoe store like this in OC. Anyone can go to the department stores and get designer trash that doesn't fit well and costs a lot of money, ( I don't want to be like every other girl at the party) but if you are into comfort and high sexy heels... get compliments just walking down the street...check them out. Thank goodness they have a website and ship also. Relaxed atmosphere, not stuffy... luvn it!

They carry size 5. I need not say more....
Okay, maybe I will... I can almost never find my size and if I do, they are outrageously priced. I love me some designers, but times are hard.
Xtc Shoes has a sweet price range of quality shoes, made in Italy and the United States.
Really liked the unique styles and the girls who worked there were very helpful.

The following is everything that I believe to be completely true about my experience here. I am speechless about the lack of ethics of the owners here. I ordered $1000 custom XTC shoes here for my wedding about 2.5 months ago. That was my first mistake, when I could have easily gone to Jimmy Choo, paid half the price and gotten better quality shoes from a professional company who would not rip me off. I gave XTC a deposit of $500. Maya, the daughter of the owner, recommended a doctor for skin. This doctor turned out to be a completely negligent doctor who damaged my face with laser so extensively that I had to cancel my wedding. I ended up in an emergency room due to panic attacks because of what has happened to my face. It's been 2.5 months, I have been crying everyday and I'm still in recovery. I'm in tears as I write this. I have spent thousands of dollars on different doctors and medications. I'm on anxiety medications every few hours just to get through the day and night. I got a call from Maya, the daughter of the owner, yesterday and I told her about all this and what I've been going through these past 2.5 months. I also told her that I can't even reschedule my wedding right now due to the damage done to my face.
Clearly, I'm not in a position to go and pick up any shoes when I've been crying everyday for the past 2.5 months and have not been able to even work and I've been so depressed that I have to push myself to do daily tasks. To my extreme surprise, Maya started telling me about their ""30 day policy"" and that her boss is on her case (her boss is her father), but that if I don't pick it up she will have to send the shoes back to the manufacturer! The shoes I ordered was their own XTC store brand shoes so her statement of ""sending it back to the manufacturer"" didn't make any sense. I told her if she needs to do that then she can just give me my $500 back. She said that she can't do that either due to their policy! She was so mean on the phone, going as far as almost taking the doctor's side - which was EXTREMELY HURTFUL AND UNFAIR - knowing what this negligent doctor has done to me and how I had to cancel my wedding because of it - that I broke out in tears and hung up the phone.
Their audacity to give me an ultimatum regarding the shoes, when they know what kind of a condition I am in right now, physically and emotionally, and especially that it's the doctor that she recommend that has caused all this pain for me, is unbelievable and inhuman. Not only they kept my $500 deposit, but they also kept the shoes. I am completely astounded by their lack of compassion for another human being, and their poor and unethical business practices, especially that they have had a part in causing that pain in the first place. Any fair professional, with an ounce of decency, would have suggested that they would keep the shoes for me UNTIL I RECOVER AND HEAL and until I am able to pick up the shoes - even if they did not recommend the doctor! But that's not what they did. Instead, they kept my $500 and kept the shoes! Only their greediness, audacity and unfairness can possibly exceed their lack of compassion and care, especially that they had a part in causing the pain by recommending a completely negligent doctor. As I write this I just came back from another doctor's office. And they have the audacity to give me a hard time about the fact that I have not picked up the shoes yet, when they have $500 of my money and the shoes!
I could easily go to my credit card company and do a chargeback, but I'll let them keep that $500, because I know they will not use it for anything good and they will lose at least 10 times that because of how they treated me.
Note to readers - if you see any posts against my post here, you can be sure that it's been posted by them. Anyone by half a brain and half a heart can tell who is right and who is wrong here.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shoe store! I am a shoe freak and have been shopping at Xtc for years. It really is one of the best kept secrets in LA. The selection, the quality, everything about the shoes is amazing! In addition to their own line, they always have really cool new designers on display. Every time I wear my Xtc shoes, I get compliments. It's the only store I will buy my shoes from these days.
