This place saved my life

Ok. I've been practicing yoga for over twenty years. I've had wonderful classes and not so wonderful classes, but this is the place that you want to go to. First of all, it's a gorgeous enviroment to practice yoga in. It's spotlessly clean and simple and clear - gorgeous hard wood floors and high ceilings and changing rooms and all that. but that's really the least of it. What really makes this place are the sensationally wonderful teachers who give their all to their students with love, patience and a great talent for conveying the beauty of yoga. They have a great introductory deal - 10 sessions for $20.00. Try it - it will change your life. It's changed mine. See for yourself. Gabe Henrie and Jeff Starin who run Urth Yoga are angels. Real angels!

Best Yoga for the Best Price

Urth Yoga is an amazing place to practice Yoga! The teachers are incredible. They take the time to learn your name and the class sizes are more often than not small and intimate. During practice, instructors take the time to give tips for improvement and will even adjust your stance, etc. I have practiced yoga for 1.5 years and have tried various classes around Los Angeles and Urth Yoga is by far the best and has encouraged me to take my practice much farther than I thought I could! Each class is 90 minutes and every minute is used to really connect with your practice, increase your strength and improve your flexibility.

Every time i leave a class I feel stronger and more centered than when I entered. I have taken classes with most of the instructures and have not been disappointed once. Classes at Urth Yoga are absolutely ADDICTIVE!!!!!

Beginner's luck!

My first yoga class ever was at Urth Yoga, and I'm definitely going back. The students and teacher were friendly and non-judgmental. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to keep up with the class, but the pace accommodated students of all levels. It was a great workout!

Solid teachers

What makes or breaks a yoga studio is the teachers. I've taken class with almost all of the teachers at Urth, and they are all worth coming back for. Plus, they have 8pm classes! How cool is that?

Best yoga studio on the east side

I found Urth a few months ago after a friend told me to check out their intro offer. $49 for a month of yoga! Can't beat that! The bonus is that the studio is the best around. Knowledgeable, friendly teachers. Jeff's classes are great. The poses flow beautifully, but in a more meaningful way than in a typical flow class and he does cool breathing stuff. He helped me get pain out of my back and knee which I have had for years when I practice and now my back bends are incredible!!! Gabe's classes move slower, but she knows so much about the body that she talks you through each part of each pose in a way that gets you so deep and feels so good. Her classes are always busy! I also took class with 2 other instructors who were really attentive to the students.

The studio is very plain, in a good way. It's simple and clean (and no incense! YAY!) Bottom line is that the teachers are great, the space is great and even the other students I have met have been so nice.
