Wake Up Call

Room Service furniture stores, just as their house rental management company roomservicecom-needs a wake up call! The people that you want to buy your overpriced items or rent your properties, are the same people that you are rude to, unprofessional to, try to rip off, and disrespect. There are many places to rent and to buy furniture from, Taryn & London & the rest of their crew will eventually get a reality check-Dont Bite the Hands That Feed You

I found some really awesome stuff here - refinished, vintage style, what don't it have that i don't love? This junk ain't cheap, either, but some things are just worth it.

good reviews written by room service

as with all these review blogs, a good percentage are written by the subject of the review. THIS HAS TO BE THE CASE WITH ROOM SERVICE. They are unprofessional and despite a good selection of furniture you will probably be sorry you purchased anything from them. The staff is deplorably amateurish, unhelpful and irresponsible. Unless you pick something up yourself (carry it yourself) out of the store you may be in for a bad surprise. Never try to order something. They either will lose the order or mess it up. WHAT""S UP WITH THEM???!!!

Nice things, worst customer service


Room service on 3rd street has nice things but the worst employees. From the first minute I walked in there, they were absolutely rude to me. They didn't seem to have any interest in selling anything. I had to call the store in Newport Beach to get some help with a purchase. When I called them to ask when they were going to deliver my furniture, they were very rude on the phone. If you don't want any headache, don't go to this store!!

LOVE this furniture store.

LOVE this furniture store. It's very trendy and a bit edgy. Got one of their Art reproductions of Clint Eastwood and also a fiberglass sun lounger for the pool. Super happy with both. Will definitely order some more things soon. They have a website you can order from too.

Very well made furniture

My wife and I recently were shopping for furniture for our new home. We visited a number of furniture stores, both large chains and small independent stores, to get ideas and compare styles, quality and pricing.

We both found this Room Service furniture store to be 'hands-down' the best of all the furniture stores we visited. The sales staff actually took the time to not just recommend standard combination's like everyone else did but were being creative and suggesting unique combination's just for us and or tastes.

Also, there were some furniture pieces that we needed to have customize sizes - no problem as they manufacture right here in the USA. Needless to say we bought a number of pieces of furniture and are very happy with them.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Friendly Staff, Beautiful Items

I can't understand what a few of the other reviewers have said about the customer service. I personally had a great experience on each of the occasions I went to the store. Also when I called to check up on an order I placed, the lady I spoke to was very helpful.

I've ordered from them twice now, and my dining table is so beautiful and well made. I love showing it off to friends who come round and everyone comments how beautiful and cool it is.

Great Products, Very Hip.

What a cool store! Wow, this is definitely one of, if not my favorite furniture store. Their products are super cool and trendy plus they recently custom made a table to fit in my small den. Took about 6 weeks but it's a custom item so that actually OK with me. Customer service was great by the way.

Don't believe the hype ............

Please don't believe every review you read ! If I listened to every bitter person that took the time out to write a negative review , I would have missed out on many cool hotels and shopping experiences. Room Service has been in business for over 10 hears , working with picky LA clientelle , including many of the hottest Hollywood celebrities. So even though there are a few negative reviews here and there , one a year if that ...... not bad I think.

Take a look at the stores yourself , (LA , Palm Springs and soon Fashion Island Newport Beach) and decide whether or not you agree with the odd person that hasn't been happy. Retail environments are tough , finding good honest employees is very hard in Los Angeles ..... Maybe the bad reviews could have been written by a disgruntelled ex-employee , who maybe in the past wrote good reviews to help the store. Now removing one (the blank one in the reviews ???) and replacing it with something not so nice ..... but still managing to add his own name in there to look good. Just incase he needs the positive feed back ! WHAT ?

I hope everyone will give this family run furniture store a shot. Things are going well. Some great new friendly faces in the stores ............

Terrible service!!!!!!!

I have never experienced such horrible customer service...and I second what another reviewer said regarding Felicia. She is snobby and seems to see customers as a great annoyance...surprised that we might actually hope that she would do some work. I once worked with a guy named Ronnie at this place who was phenomenal...he no longer works there and I no longer plan on shopping there. They do not return phone calls (even regarding large orders already placed) and do not take responsibilty for problems with the order. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for furniture.

snobby clerks - bad customer service

I had a terrible experience with this place. I worked with a designer who is pals with some of the guys that work there, so I was definitely a little pressured in going with them. They were so slow and rude when I was at the store, ignoring me literally as I was trying to pay for the furniture...in full in advance...so they could chat with acquaintances in the store. Then, I dealt with them delivering my furniture - they completely didn't show the first time it was scheduled. The second time, they delivered it during the only time I asked them not to. The store was not only unhelpful and unsympathetic with my frustration...but was very rude to me and actually lectured me when I called to discuss the issue with them. They basically told me that although the delivery guys put the furniture in the wrong room, and delivered it duirng the wrong time (when I wasn't there), and didn't move the old furniture (as they told me they would), that it was my problem and that I shouldn't really be frustrated because, and I quote, ""they are human beings."" I couldn't believe it. Also, the furniture itself is a bit shoddy, and not worth the money. It doesn't look like the renderings they made...and the craftmanship leaves a little to be desired. At least I didn't make a huge investment this time. I definitely won't be going back. Unless you are buying something off the showroom floor...I'd think twice before going here.

Great Concept, Inspired Design!

I was first drawn in to the 3rd St. location by the windows--there is always something new and fresh in the showroom to inspire. At first I thought it was retro/vintage but it's even better--It's new, customizable, and way reasonable! The vibe is fun, energetic, and the furniture is unique. I ordered a sofa-sectional from Room Service this year, which was a great experience start to finish. I was able to customize aspects of the sofa, which allowed me to get creative and feel part of the final product. I also found out that Room Service manufactures its own furniture right here in Los Angeles! That's something to feel good about.

Amazing Service in Pasadena

I almost did not go to the store because of the reviews I saw on this site. But I am glad I went with my gut. I decided to drive to the Pasadena store to get away from all of the other Saturday shoppers, and let me say the service was A+. There is a new employee there by the name of Bret. A very great young man! He made sure that I left that store happy. He also just moved everything around in the store and I and re-doing my family room off of one of his designs!
Please ignore the post about the horrible service, because I know for a factor, that when I walked through the room service door and Bret smiled and greeted me that I was going to leave happy.

BEST EXPERIENCE IN TOWN

Room Service is the best gem in Los Angeles. I bought a Roosevelt bed and a Mondrian dresser both pieces are my favorite at home and the envy of all my friends and family. The showroom staff was fresh, attentive and creative. I was very impressed with the in house interior gurus, they helped me in deciding how and what I needed for my home. I also love how they keep everything for the home in stock from vases to linens. I have been furnishing my home for a few years now and cant tell you enough how happy I am that I found this place. I love that they can make anything for you and exactly how you want it.

Worst experience ever.

I have had the worst experience ordering furniture from Room Service. They messed up my order 4 times and it's still not right. And it is so cheaply made--one of my cushions split the first day I had it. I will never ever buy anything from Room Service again and I suggest that you save yourself the headache and don't either.

Overpriced knockoffs

I go here often to get ideas or in the hopes that i will find a deal, but it's true that most of their stuff is cheaply made reproductions, priced too high for what it is. And as others have said, the service is the worst.

Last time I went here, looking for a lamp and almost bought one for $100, but didn't because it seemed flimsy. I went to IKEA and found something sturdy and very similar in look for $40.

worst service, worst attitude

From the outside, this place looks cool and modern. You get inside, and there's a mix of funky, cheap, expensive, etc. However, the service is so horrible -- especially Felicia -- who refuses to help unless you beg and refuses to call back or follow up. Yet, she is indignant if you call her and demands to know why you are calling back months after your order was supposed to be in. Revolving management does not care and they're not particularly responsive either. Their goods are very common -- you see them in other stores and online -- so this place does not make it worthwhile to even drop by. Besides, the layout is so cluttered that a casual perusal for inspiration is impossible.

should be called ""Poor Service""

the furnishings are fantastic and funky, with a great variety. ordering custom furniture, however, is a different story. the two custom make items i ordered took months to be delivered, way beyond what was promised. when they were delivered they were both severely damaged. had to have both items re-made, adding another long wait to an already arduous process. i must say, though, that both items are my favorite things we own. beautiful. i just dont know if the maddening, unresponsive customer service is worth it.
