High Quality Meats!

I love the steak and ambiance. It's a little expensive but I never leave unstatsified. Not all my friends like it though, but it is definitely one of my favorite steak houses in southern california. Maestros is also great in Beverly Hills. Near the Staple Center if you want to go there before a game.

Womp womp womp!!!

Arnie Morton is the worst steakhouse ever!!! My boyfriend took me there for my birthday. The waiter did not offer us drinks. We sat there for about 15 minutes until I asked the waiter for a beverage. My steak was burned, the mashed potatoes looked and tasted old, side portions were small, and the entire meal was cold. When I sent my steak back the chef, the manager, and the waiter made a big deal out of it. I hesitated at first, but if I am paying $50 for a piece of steak, I want it cooked the way I like it. Then, the waiter lied about the complimentary dessert that is included with the meal and said it was on the house because we were not satisfied with our meal. However, we knew that it was free because it was my birthday. If you want want a great steak, generous portions, and excellent service at a reasonable price go to Ruth's Chris in Beverly Hills.

Good Food, Great Service

I recently took my parents here and found the food to be good, not great. It wasn't disappointing but, nothing I would rave about. The service however, was great. My parents aren't accustomed to these type of restaurants (language barrier) and feel very uncomfortable being there but, our waitress did a great job to make them feel at ease and not out of place. I really appreciated the friendly, casual service they had, unlike some snooty places I've been to. I've had waiters smirk or act irritated at my parent's inability to figure out the multi course menus. Definitely going back for the food but, more for the service.

Overrated for the price.

My boyfriend took me to Arnie Morton's for my birthday. I was all excited for a big juicy steak, but in the end we were both a little let down. First of all, the seating is a little cramped. We were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant, and it was a little tricky getting in and out, especially with a dress on. Secondly, the food was good, but not great. We ordered the tuna tartar and a specialty shrimp dish appetizer. The tuna tarter was bland, but the shrimp were ok. We then decided on splitting the porterhouse for two with mashed potatoes and asparagus for our sides. The steak was good, flavorful and tender, but not anything special. To finish it off, we ordered the chocolate souffle - bad decision. The souffle wasn't very warm when it got to us, and it was a little chewy. I would take the souffle from Roy's over this one any day. Overall, the food was decent, but at the exhorbitant prices (nearly $300 for two of us including a couple of drinks each, tax, and tip), I would recommend going elsewhere. Try Fogo de Chao. The food is much better for the value.

""The Best Steak Anywhere"" -- Wow, They Weren't Kidding

What an amazing restaurant with impeccable service and excellent food. I absolutely love this place. I am from Chicago and grew up going to the original Morton's. It was not until recently that I ventured to this Los Angeles location. I was wowed with my meal from start to finish and felt like a member of an elite club while at the restaurant.

Best Steak ever

well, i'm not the biggest steak enthusiast, but i had the chicago style steak, medium rare, and it was the more tender, delicious steak i've ever had. also, get the godiva chocolate cake like everyone else recommended. other than that, the service was great. it gets a little loud inside and it was somewhat hard to find. but all in all, a great experience!

Best Chocolate Cake Ever!

The steak was so good and cooked to perfection, but the dessert definitely made the meal for me. The godiva chocolate cake is to die for!! You have to order it in advance since it takes 20 minutes to make. Delicious!!

Tops my list of Steakhouses

Out of all the upscale steak houses in the greater LA area, this quality of steak is hard to match. No sauces or rubs are needed with this preparation, the natural flavor of the meat was brought out to perfection with the porterhouse cut, the absolute best I've ever had! Like most $$$$ steakhouses side dishes are competitively priced and tasty (the garlic bread was unbelievably great!) and the service is good, parking may be a problem though, valet only. Other steak houses like Boa, Porterhouse and Turner New Zealand all offer their own little twist on how they prepare their dishes, but Arnie's offers up meat straight up that can't be matched!

Ruth's is good but doesn't compare to the food at Arnies. This place is pricey but worth it.

Morton's, Palm Desert, is absolutely the worst of the ""top ten""..at least in Palm Desert. Their pre-diner order presentation is ""canned,"" boring, and uninspiring. The presentor draws from the cart a piece of something resembling the meat they want to sell and it's wrapped in syran wrap (tacky).

The staff is snooty and the food isn't in the same town with Ruth Chris.

For overall tops in dining pleasure in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area try Sullivans off El Paseo.

Still the Best Steak in Town

Morton's of Chicago is still the best place for steaks in LA. The beef here is simply unsurpassed in Southern California. The staff is very knowledgeable and the menu presentation is always a treat. The filet is simply wonderful and the cajun ribeye adds some nice variety to the menu. Don't miss out on the amazing Godiva chocolate souffle for desert.

TGIF at 3 X the Price

If you are looking for TGIF at 3 times the price, Mortons is the place. The atmosphere is
very loud, overly energetic, and hectic. The staff was eager but inept. One of our party
ordered a drink when we sat down but didn't get it until the middle of her meal, and only after
we asked about it. Another of our party got the wrong dinner order. We had to shout and
repeat ourselves throughout. For this you are paying more than $70 a person with drinks.
The food was good, but the next time I'm looking for an expensive steak I'll go elsewhere.

Godiva dessert!!!

The crowd at Morton's might be a bit older, conservative, and touristy, but this place has the best porterhouse steak. Get it medium rare because their rare is bloody red. And save some room for dessert. Their Godiva chocolate dessert was awesome!

Delicious steak

I don't eat red meat very often but once in a while i'll crave a nice juicy steak. And Arnie's is one of the places i go. Some people might mistake the service as being unattentive when in fact, they're very careful not to to rush you and try to give you ample time to savor their steaks and drinks.
