Was across the street at Los Angeles County Museum of Art when a screw from my glasses caused a lens to pop out. The nice folks at LAVC told me to wait for an optician. 2 minutes later, they fixed my glasses-- for FREE.
Honest and professional experts.
And they were open on President's Day!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
Overpriced and Rude
Dr, Hursh ( I know I spelled it wrong) Was probably the most self absorbed man I have met in my life. You are better off going to Tijuana for your eyeglass presctiption
I wish there was a rating for negative stars.

Dr. Joel Hirsch misdiagnosed my contact prescription and when the contacts arrived, the trial pair predictably didn't work. I called his secretary, Kat, about the prescription being incorrect and my vision being blurred, but rather than letting me make a new appointment, she told me to open the sealed boxes and try on a new pair to see if it worked better. She told me I could return the opened boxes for a refund if there was a problem. When the new pair of lenses was also defective, I demanded another eye exam and explained my interaction with Kat, but Dr. Hirsch refused to listen and charged me for the eye exam and for a new box of contacts, saying the opened boxes ?couldn?t be returned since they had been already opened?. What's more, they humiliated me and made me cry, Kat saying, ""we would never tell you to open the box if the trial pair didn?t work"" and Hirsch himself said, ""what my staff says is not my responsibility"". This was a terrible experience, he seemed so nice, but when it came down to it, it was all a facade, and he was downright rude and unpleasant. Save yourself time, money, and anxiety by not giving this man your business! Judging from reviews on other websites, I'm not the only one who had such an awful experience.

I got ripped off by this place. I have health care through VSP and they still charged me $145 + $10 co-pay. Typically a contact lens exam costs $75 - $100, but their charge was $155 for the eye exam plus $100 for the contact lens exam. Unbelievably expensive for a 15-minute procedure. I've been wearing contacts for over 20 years and have NEVER paid that much for a contact lens exam. DO NOT GO THERE, unless you want to get ripped off and charged crazy prices.
