This museum is very beautiful and large. I brought my two kids here which was very difficult to keep them in order. There are lots of no touching rules, staying away from the walls, not crossing lines, and keeping your backpack in front of you. Definitely don't recommend this as a kids place.

I absolutely adore LACMA!!!! There are a ton of different exhibits, and while you can always count on some exhibits remaining the same, the museum seems to be ever-changing. I love how everything is laid out and it's close proximity to the La Brea Tar Pits and plenty of food options. Food trucks line the street frequently, so you can eat something different every time you come.

My favorite part though is the NexGen program, which allows children up to age 17 to enjoy the museum for free and bring one adult guest for free with their entry.

I love LACMA! This museum is constantly changing their exhibitions and has a huge collection of ancient and historical art and artifacts. I really enjoyed the ancient Buddhist and Hindu collections. The museum is very large and each building has multiple floors so it's easy to spend an entire day here. During the week, LA county residents are free after 3pm. Also, there is ample free street parking if you go at a less busy time during the week.

Fun daytime activity come see the famed

Fun daytime activity come see the famed outdoor lamp posts. All summer they are offering special free membership that allows one free guest.

Dear LACMA,

It has been a couple of years since someone came along to write some lines about you here. You have changed recently and maybe because of this people don't really know what to say. But I know: Thank you for the BCAM, thanks for the Resnick pavillion! Thanks for turning this place into a location where I want to hang out, enjoy art, friends & food. Thanks LACMA!

LACMA owes me $26

I can't remember the last time I paid more than $8 for a museum--and this was the LACMA student price. I went to see King Tut with 10 other friends. The exhibit was built upfirst, some general Egyptian history, then the life of the pharaohs, then King Tut, some Tut artifacts, a video speculating his death, then...the gift shop? I walked in and out 5 times and had to ask the guard--where is King Tut?! He said I was the 100th person to ask that; Tut was in Egypt.

What a tease--not one mummy. I wouldn't have minded so much except that's what we were expecting.

Highly recommended

Contemporary complex of 5 buildings, very nice and broad exposition with good coverage for every period. The interiors and lay-outs show taste. Was surprised to see it in LA.
