Tons of flight options which is great. However, being one of the busiest airports in the world comes with challenges. Traffic getting into and out of LAX is a disaster, the terminals and overall property needs updating. If you live in the greater LA area you avoid flying out of LAX if you can. Then again, it is LAX so sometimes you can't avoid it.
They're slowly making some upgrades, but as far as big city airports go, I've seen much better. Traffic in and out is a real bear. If i can possibly fly out of Burbank instead, I will.
Under major renovation. Bring ear plugs and Excedrin.
If you have more than two in your party expect to take TWO TAXIS, as they don't provide transportation that can carry more than two people with large pieces of luggage, after a long, exhausting two week vacation!!!!!
LAX is a good airport. There is plenty of parking, the airport police are nice and helpful and it is clean. Also I love the colored lights as you approach the entrance. If you want to get somewhere fast, it has the most non-stops to anywhere.
This airport is pretty well run. Very profesional TSA screeners. Just wish more people would learn to pack light and not lug their junk around on trips. There will be stores wherever you are traveling, folks.
I like this airport. It was really nice flying in here. Some of the airports i have flown into are very dirty not this one. The staff were very nice to me and helped me find my way around.
