If you want your dog bitten, take him here. Neglect!

If you think your dog could use more staples or stitches and doesn't have enough bites or scars, please take him/her to K9 Loft. If you like your dog with out any wounds, I suggest you find a daycare where neglect is not the norm. My dog, a playful non aggressive whippet, in two consecutive visits was bitten while under the supervision of K9 Loft. Even after the first bite, when I requested the staff take special care with my dog to be kept away from larger more aggressive animals - He was not. In both instances I was told flatly that the attendants didn't notice anything wrong until after the event when they noticed that my puppy was bloody. The first incident I was magnanimous, understanding that even in the best most supervised facilities, accidents happen. However the second time, now, looking at my dog miserable and full of drugs I am angry that they accept more dogs into their facility than they can take care of. I am angry that both times, with bites that were large requiring 5 and 6 staples that the severity of the wounds was misrepresented to me on the phone by staff. And am concerned that the vet that K9 loft sends their wounded dogs to is the wife of one of the owners. I spoke to one of the owners at length after the second bite and he told me that dog day care facilities are not subject to any standards or any accrediting organization. This I find troubling. So with nowhere to place file an official complaint, I am taking to the internet to warn other dog owners of the negligence of this facility. I'm not taking our dogs there again. It's not safe. I hope you are careful with your dogs and find other daycare solutions. My puppy looked just fine before he didn't need six more staples near his ribs to go along with the handsome scar on his neck near his trachea.

Very trustworthy staff.

I work in downtown LA and I bring my baby here for daycare 3 days per week. I drop her off at 8:30 and pick her up again at 7pm. I searched high and low for a good doggy daycare. I went to many places and just didnt feel comfortable with most of them. Then when I came to K9 Loft I got a good vibe right away. The staff was super nice and so knowledgable. I could tell they were genuine dog lovers. But most importantly, they had webcams in the daycare area and windows that allow anyone to look in on the dogs at anytime. This really put my mind at rest because it made me feel like they have nothing to hide. Most other doggy daycares were closed off to public viewing. You had no idea what was going on in the back. I am very glad I found K9 Loft. My dog gets to play and socialize in a safe and happy environment.

The only place I trust to leave my dog.

I recently left my dog at K9 Loft for overnight boarding and had such a good experience. The thought of leaving my dog for a week while I went away on vacation almost made me cancel my trip. Luckily I found K9 Loft and they really put my mind at ease. Before leaving him there for the week I went to see the place and was totally sold. the staff was so kind and helpful. They also showed me the whole facility which really made me feel like they have nothing to hide. But what sealed the deal for me was the webcams in the daycare area. If I could watch my baby from time to time while on vacation it would make the whole experience so much easier. When I came back a week later to pick her up she kept running back to the entry door of the daycare area. She didn't want to leave! That was my answer. I knew she had a good time! I absolutely love this place. Clean, friendly and professional. If you are planning to go away for a while or just looking for daycare I recommend you go see this place with you own eyes. You won't be disappointed.

YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE

I love this place and everytime I walk by with my dogs they both sit by the door wait for me to open it so they can go in. The staff is superfriendly - they take time out to getting to know your pet and address any concerns you have. The facilities are very clean, no dust, dirt, or funky odors (ask for a tour). My dogs love all the staff and they really treat every dog like their own.

A lucky dog's home away from home!

I can't tell you how happy we were to see a business like this open up in our neighborhood. And then we were further surprised to see that it was part owned by a couple of our former (and favorite) vets, and staffed with a caring, dog-friendly staff. This place rocks the house!

The facilities are beautiful -- the best I've seen in L.A., and the staff really spends a ton of quality and quantity time with the dogs. You can even check in with the web cams (one of my dogs is such a ho for attention, so he's easy to spot).

My dogs love this place so much, that all we have to do is say "K9" and they start going crazy and heading for the door. It's their favorite place to be, aside from home (at least I think home is still #1).

Highly, highly recommended.

I trust these guys with my baby!

I took my pomeranian Mimi to K9 Loft for grooming last week and was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was super clean and immaculate. And most importantly, there are lots of windows and you can watch your dog as they do the grooming. Most other groomers I have been to have always kept their grooming area hidden from public view which makes you wonder whats going on. But these guys are very open and transparent. They really made me feel comfortable to leave my baby there for grooming. I highly recommend them.

Great service

I tried these guys for daycare for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. The staff was very friendly and also seemed very knowledgable about dogs. Very impressed by the cleanliness of their facility. I was also surprised when they sent me an email with a picture of my german shepard Allie, just to give me an update on how she was doing. They really went the extra mile. I will definitely be taking Allie back there.

Great place of doggie daycare

I live in Silver Lake and this new doggie daycare just opened up last week near my home. It works out great for me because I take my two jack russel terriers to daycare twice a week. I usually go to Wagville but the trip to the other side of the 5 freeway was getting to be a bit much. The people at K9 Loft seemed really friendly and knowledgable. The fact that they have a webcam and that most of their staff are vet techs really put me at ease. Its also very convenient that I can get my pet supplies from there too. Overall, I really like the place. It was clean, didnt smell at all and is super close to my home. If you are in the Silver Lake, Echo Park or Los Feliz area I highly recommend this place.
