The beds were great - very comfy.Room was clean. Kids liked the pool. Front desk staff were helpful.

The Hollywood hotel is a great hotel to stay in for seeing LA. There is a secure car park (which is essential in LA, as the city is huge). Breakfast was served each day and was very good. There was a nice outside pool, gym and sauna that can be booked free of charge.\n\nOverall, a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here for a week in October 2011. Very cheap price compared to other hotels in the hollywood area and although the neighbourhood is slightly dodgy its not that bad. Just don't walk anywhere alone ;) The hotel itself is great - staff very friendly and helpful. Michael on reception was full of great ideas on where to eat and what to see. We stayed in a suite there which looked onto the courtyard and as mentioned by other reviewers the balcony is shared by a few rooms. Parking is secure and there is an $18 charge daily which is decent considering all the hotels in the area charge. The pool area was new and kept well but unfortunately its not heated so was quite cold! Breakfast was included with the room and there was a good spread. Sausages, eggs, waffles(fresh), cereals, croissants, fruit were all available and refreshed often. Honestly I would stay here again due to the service we received and the convenience of the location.

I loved The Hollywood Hotel ! My room was large ,bed was comfortable and the free breakfast was good. I liked being able to rent my car in the lobby of the hotel and that my tour company (California Tourlines) picked up in the front of the hotel. I also loved the easy access to the Griffith Observatory ,a must!!! The best views of L.A. and the Hollywood Sign and hikinng trails. Great way to start your morning ! When you drive out the parking lot take a right and keep going straight ahead till you reach the top. The hotel has a metro a block away, when walking out front door cross street and walk left. It will take you everywhere. There is also a little store right across the street for cheaper drinks and snacks, but there is a store and vending machines in the hotel if you dont want to leave the hotel. As you can see I really liked this hotel.

The first night they accidentally gave me & my friend the wrong room but they were quick to resolve that matter. It was a great location, minutes from majoe hollywood attractions via metro train station around the corner as well as metro buses. Complimentary breakfast was delicious; Though I wish they extended it until 1130 because it was hard to be there before it ends at 1030 after long night of partying LOL. The front desk agents, house keeping staff, & all other staff members were so sweet & attentive! I'm sure the next time I'm in town this is where I'll be staying.

Spacious comfortable clean room & bed with nice outlook.Television Pay only but free Wi-fi works well.Staff helpful & when eventually found outdoor pool, nicely secluded with loungers & towels provided-a pleasant place to sit.Very close to Metro & buses which are very cheap & easy to use.(bus 50c for seniors! -$1.50 regular any distance tho increases during rush hour or all day metro & metro bus ticket $5).Close to pharmacy selling food though not to any more upmarket shops.

just minutes from the metro which gets you to all locations including Universal studios ($1.50) 4 stops hotel staff very friendly and helpful (despite some negative reviews on staff) room supplied with toiletries and tea/coffee and microwave fridge and safe free wi-fi and ample buffet breakfast all included in price special thanks to Michael on reception for all his help with sorting trips etc would return to this hotel. Hollywood walk of fame is in walkable distance just walk along Sunset Boulevard about 1hour

Hotel offers everything: spa, sauna, swimming pool, even comfortable smoking area in a middle of the hotel under open sealing. Hotel reminded me of Caribbean type hotel, like in Dominican Republic. Very nice, relaxing, comfortable. Staff was experience, quick check in, efficient. I was there on a business trip, so speed was important to me. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anybody who visits LA

We love the free continental breakfast. Was a big draw card to the hotel. One of the reasons we chose it.

I needed to be near the Los Feliz area and wanted a quiet stay with the opportunity to exercise and handle my business communications. Hollywood Hotel served well and actually the fitness room was better than expected.
