OMG this place rocks as they have the best beer selection in LA. My wife had a birthdy party and there were 25 people. Hands down everyone had a great time and loved the food. My friend told me about good and was raving but had no idea how much fun it was!. Our waiter told us about a $5.00 menu on Mondays and a new thing going on on Tuesday where you can win fifty percent off your food. Good has my favorite beer Holy Grail. Two thumbs up guys. Thanks for the great night and you made our birhday real special.
Luvtoeat food is my life the name says it all. Luv the food and they have great specials. You have got to try the Hanger steak (Tasted it in France) it was so tender and not expensive at all. Beer choices are mind blowing. nice vibe and music and friendly staff. Luv this place now

I and my friends use to go here when it was the SilverLake Cafe' and have seen it go through several changes. The best was when it first became known as Good. At that time they were very attentive, the waiters were always coming around and very knowledgable. They even were bringing around the daily specials on a rolling cart trying to upsell you on the food. They were allways fun and helpful and the food was excellent. Then the past couple of times we went the food became blander and blander, the service less and less helpful (like waiters dissapearing for 20 minutes at a time in a fairly empty resturant and never finding out how we liked our food). Eventually I and my friends stopped going there. More than a year passed and I and my husband decided to give it a try. No rolling cart of food, the wait staff was luke warm in attitude. We inquired about the weekly speicals they have listed and clearly states 'ask our waiter for details'. The waiter informed us he didn't know about those certain specials on those days because he didn't work those days. He didn't take the hint that he could find out for us from someone else. We were told we were ordering from the Lunch menu as it was before 5pm. My meal was charged the dinner menu price once we got the bill. The food was blander than ever and we even ordered a side dish of vegetables since neither of our dishes seemed to have any sides on them (the vegetables were the best part of our meals). The beer was good (I think that is the only thing that keeps people coming in) It became dark outside and the wait staff lit the single candle on each table and then proceeded to turn the lights down to very dim. Several people complained on not being able to read or how dark it was in there...but the staff didn't turn the lights up at all. We gave the resturant a fair shake...but this is the very last time we will ever go there again. Too bad the management doesnt seem to care any more.

I've never been treated so badly in a restuarant before in my life! Our bill was off by 7 beers (21 instead of 14), and we politely explained the mishap to our waitress. She then argued with us, saying that it was our fault, and 21 beers had come out to our table. We asked to speak to a manager, who came out and also argued with us, saying that we must have ordered 21 beers, or else it wouldn't be on our bill. Now if we were talking about 1 or even 2 beers, I'd say maybe we had miscounted, but 7 beers!? I would remember ordering 7 beers! The manager eventually took the extra beers off of our bill, but when he gave us our new bill, he told us he still thought we were lying. Whatever happened to the saying ""the customer's always right""? Never again.

I've been here a couple of times, and it seems its always for breakfast at around noon in Sunday. The foods good and my wife loves the bloody mary's. I flip through the beer book, randomly point and order, and then enjoy a leisurly breakfast that, while not cheap, doesn't make me want to run screaming and has never given me cause to complain. Service quality varies, but I've never been upset about it. I like this place. I wonder what it's like for some other meal.

I can not believe the selection of beers they have! I went there this weekend with some friends who are beer lovers and they were blown away by the amazing selection of beers from around the world. Friendly staff and got to say the food was also really good. The portions are huge for the price you pay and the steak I ordered was excellent. I hope good opens another place in Hollywood closer to my home. I will be back at good.! I don't care if I have to drive a few extra miles. It was worth the trip.

I love this place! It's my, I don't feel like cooking tonight, had a bad day at work, don't feel like getting ready, and desperately need a drink eatery (its main draw). The food is decent, but the drinks are awesome. They have a great selection of beer. FYI: They regularly have drink specials on suggested beers. Live on the edge and try one ... I've yet to be disappointed. The mojitos are also pretty stellar.
P.S. Omar is the sweetest waiter (treat him well)

I recently visited Good Microbrew & Grill when I was in L.A. to see family and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was tasty -- I had fried chicken and thought it was the perfect combo of crispy and juicy. The salads looked great too. They have a great beer selection -- almost too much to choose from and many of them I had not ever heard of before. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the staff is attentive. The owner also came by to see how we were enjoying our meal, which we really appreciated. Definitely worth checking out and a nice addition to the Silverlake area!

Visited this Silverlake eatery with friends from the Bay Area. Service was great, food was hearty, and the selection of beer was nothing sort of phenomenal. Beers with names that were totally unfamiliar to me or my friends. Beers from locations that were total surprises, as well. Who knew? The barkeep brought over a selection of samples and we worked our way around the beers on tap. Definitely a place to check out and put on your crawl list.

The other people who rated this establishment so high must have been high themselves. Been eating here for years (usually on Tuesdays when it was half price}. At half price this place is not a bad deal. But I stopped going when they started raising their prices without raising the quality of the food. An example: the salads are comprised mainly of brown-edged iceberg lettuce, with a few chunks of tomato, and some carrot shreddings. I will admit that their burgers are pretty good, but may God have pity on you if you dare anything other than the most basic standard diner fare. Large selection of beers (at least on the menu), and service can range from decent to abysmal (aka Baby Boy). I can't even imagine why you'd want to go here when close by is Farfalla with much better food, a friendlier atmosphere, and better, more reasonable prices.
The good microbrew and grill is a one of a kind. One of my fav. spots on Sunset. If your new to the microbrew's, the staff can complement your meal with an expansive selection of both domestic and international brews. The menu itself is pretty entertaining and the entrees are what really make this spot a unique experience. You can choose to dine inside or out. The grill brings in a fresh crowd and theres a special everynight, so keep your OO~ open.

...i'm not kidding. this place is the worst. even though the beer menu is huge, they hardly have any of them. both times that i have been there (never going back), they have not had any of the beers i'd asked for. however, compared to the food, the beer rules. all of the food is from ""smart & final"". i mean this literally. the vegetables were obviously from a freezer bag & the prime rib was disgusting. and the kicker? it's so overpriced that it's insulting. it's almost so bad that it's funny.

This place has the best beer selection in Silver Lake, and perhaps Los Angeles in general. If all you want to do is to hang out and have a nice beer with a friend or two (preferably outdoors), this is your place. However, it is definitely no bargain. The food is over-priced and not very great and the waiters are pushy salespeople. Basically, it is coffee shop quality at country club prices. They do offer special prices on beer on certain nights, but you cannot chose which beer you get. In short, have a couple of ""good"" beers here and eat somewhere else.

If you like a huge selection of unknown beers and great grill food then Good is the place for you. I really like beer and I will tell you that the Marin beers are fabulous (not to mention Delirium and the IPA's). However, if you are looking for the best Buffalo Chicken Sandwich in L.A. then look no further. The sandwich here (titled Lagunitas IPA) has two breaded fried chicken cutlets the size of your head on a bun with a excellent Buffalo sauce for around $11.95. The bun barely can keep the chicken between it.

They do have a big beer selection, but the food is just horrible. Our steak was like rubber, and the desserts were WAY ove-priced.
We were also sitting close to the kitchen and I heard and saw the manager (or owner?) scream and berate a server. It was ridiculous. The guy didn't even seem to care that patrons could hear him. It was incredibly unprofessional.
I'm never going back. They should change the name to ""Gross"".
