This is a great restaurant?it has both American and other traditional food which is fantastic. The dress is casual and the place itself is pretty casual and nice?you can sit out on the patio if it is nice out, which it usually is in Los Angeles, or inside the fun and casual, yet still nice and a fun atmosphere. It's a really fun place to go because it's lively, but not loud and you can still hear yourself talk and enjoy a nice meal. The food is delicious ?we had their Mahi Mahi and it tasted fresh and delicious. The portions were big for the money and there was more then enough to leave me satisfied. The waiters were friendly and the service was also quite good. The food was brought quickly, but not in a rushed sort of manner. They were friendly and eager to help and make suggestions for what is good off the menu. We loved this place.
So many restaurants to choose from in Silverlakw, but if you want a little of everything this is the only one I always pick for a great dinner date; a brunch place with a group of friends; or even a solo Sunday morning breakfast. The menu has many of your favorite staples, and the staff is great.

Okay, so I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time, it's been around a while. Stopped in around 6pm, nice decor & ambiance, and nice full menu. Felt like a burger, ordered the mushroom swiss burger, to be cooked medium. When I tasted it, seemed quite underwhelming, as it had virtually no taste, and slightly watery. Hmmm, I thought. Wonder if this could be of the frozen burger ""variety."" Naaa, I said to myself, not for $12.95. I've never had a frozen burger anywhere -- in LA or any other city -- that charged $12.95 unless it was a freshly made burger. Thought it was cooked beyond medium as well, but it's dark enough in this place that I couldn't verify. Bottom line, this burger was TASTELESS. Even the sauteed mushrooms were tasteless (how is THAT possible??). Anyway, I end up asking the server if their burgers come frozen or are made fresh. He tells me they're frozen. What?? This place charges $12.95 for a frickin' frozen patty? Well, it lacked the taste that most frozen burgers lack, so I knew the answer before he told me. Shocking, I tell you, absolutely SHOCKING.
If this part of their food is frozen, I can only imagine that a lot of their other menu items come from the freezer as well, probably the chicken sandwiches, steaks, etc. How the hell can this restaurant get such good reviews here at this site? Are people getting buzzed first on their massive collections of beers before eating their food? Probably. This restaurant should not be named ""Good"" -- what a lame name anyway. Should be called ""Bad""... at least then you know what you're in for. If you just want to go drink some brews, this would be the place. You want food? Too many other restaurants here in Silverlake and Los Feliz to eat at.
Oh, and the french fries? (How could I forget?) As typically crappy as what you'd find at a Denny's. Even the fries at the House of Pies are much better. Clearly this place's food comes from some huge restaurant food distribution company.

what a crazy find in Silver Lake! Five of us went on a friday night, I called ahead for reservations for 9:30 and it was a cinch. probably didn't even need 'em. The beer list is phenominal and the wait staff was really helpful in the desion making. The atmosphere was good (music a little too loud at first but they later adjusted). The food was awesome. Everyone loved what they had. They have a huge menu, vegetarian too! My buffalo chicken sandwich (called the Lagunita somethin) was fantastik, even as a leftover the next day. And don't miss out on the onion rings, hard to find that good. We're definitely going back. There's a ton more beer to try. If you're not from the west coast, you'll enjoy the east coast feel. nice change of pace.
I've been to Good Microbrew 3 or 4 times, and every trip there I have been met with impeccable personal service. The waiter even greeted me by name the last 2 visits. Our server has always had great suggestions on what to try, depending on our taste. The fried calamari has to be some of the tastiest in the city, served along with this great marinara sauce. If you save any room for dessert I would go with a big chocolate tower cake or their wonderful Carrot Cake. I think Good Microbrew has a really fun and busy atmosphere, perfect for a group date or a great place to bring out of town visitors.
I had such a good time here. The food was very good - Good service!! Needless to say, Beers are excellent, service quick. Feeling a need to indulge at Good, I tend to always gravitate toward Cheeseburger. Piled high and served with a side of fries, Good Microbrew gets it right time after time.

I went to Good about a month ago and I thought it was GREAT! When I was reviewed the amazing beer selection I asked for the Sunset Wheat beer. They didn't have it but the waiter recommended something similar which was delicious. He was really friendly and fun too. I had a chicken wrap and I thought it was delicious. I ended up sharing it as the portions are pretty big too. Yes, the beers were a bit more than what you may normally pay for a beer at a restaurant but keep in mind most of the beers are rare or hard to find. If you're looking for a bud light, don't waste your time coming here. This place is for people who want to enjoy a good beer. If you want a crappy, cheap beer try TGI Friday's or your corner bar at happy hour.

I love this place! It's like a vacation in Belgium with their enormous beer selection. I like the great patio, and they have outside heaters. Try the Fried chicken- - Yum-bo girlfriends? steak was great too. Our food was good from Appetizer to bread pudding. Music was great too.
Love this place! It's a great place to go sit outside with friends or colleauges for lunch. What a great place! The bar staff was attentive and friendly, the drinks were good, and the food was reasonably priced. A good product with friendly service ... I'll be back

Nice place good beer and food what more does a guy need ? My server was hot and I wish I had her telephone number. Need to come back real soon with some of my buddies and show them how much beer good has. Great beers on draft my favorite is the Gonzo porter.

1. The food is ridiculously overpriced. $13 for a burger that you can get for $8 at any other restaurant. ""Seasoned"" fries that have less taste than your average fast food joint. Everything else is even more ridiculously priced. If you want to spend the cash, do yourself a favor and head across the street to Cliff's Edge.
2. On mystery beer night, a 12 oz cup of beer is $3. Not bad, except if you even try to suggest that you might like a lighter or darker beer for your next one, that costs you $2 extra. Well, I figured I'd skip the extra cost, mention to the waiter that I'd like something darker, and he'd let the bartender at least know. Instead, the busboy walks over with a LITE beer, and when the waiter sees it, he just laughs.
3. Most ridiculous part about the whole restaurant: the seating policy. I understand that if a restaurant is busy they don't want to seat you until your whole party is there. But if there are 20 empty tables, and I promise that my friend is on the way and that if they need the table in the mean time we will get up, well, I think you could seat me. I even said we'd order drinks. Well, apparently it is their ""policy"" not to do so. So that tables sat empty, we stood outside.
I can walk to this restaurant, which is a rarity in LA, but I'm not going back.

I always visit this place when I'm in town from Boston visiting family. We love the Sunday brunch and my 3 year old loves to see the dogsin the patio. The owner even took the time to get her a dog bisquit to feed a puppy near our table outside. Just a great and creative place to hang out and eat great food.
