Inefficiency abounds!

I received a bill saying it was delinquent on my account when, in fact, I had never received anything from them before. It was for a procedure that was done during surgery, so I had no way of knowing another bill was coming.

Anyway, I had to do research to find a phone number (the phone number they gave on the bill was the hospital's main number), the bill listed a department number that doesn't exist as the location (the hospital had no idea what that was), the bill had an account number on that was obviously incorrect, and the address to send to was a P.O. Box, I believe.

After tracking them down, I called their office. They verified I had the billing office of the right doctor but couldn't find my records by either account number (no surprise) or by my name, which was obviously on the bill. Something needs to change there.

Doctors, if you are considering using this billing service, carefully consider it again.

THE WORST!

THE WORST people ever. I have had to deal with them on a few occassions. They overbill, they are rude, they are NEVER helpful. Harrassing attitudes and NO compassion when you are healing from surgery. My insurance paid over $1500.00 for my epidural during my delivery BUT yet they make you pay the difference of billed amount versus what they want payment for. I can't say anything nice! Worst company I have EVER dealt with. Whatever you do DO not let do anything. You will be stuck with these rude people who have NO IDEA what they are doing. TWICE they have overbilled and just otherwise screwed up!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a medical office.

They were late to bill me, which I presume was an effort to let me forget that I stopped breathing on the operating table while under the supervision of one of their anesthesiologists. They do not return my calls/messages. Sandra in billing has more attitude than intelligence. I have been trying to receive an itemized bill for over 4 months. I intend to switch to another hospital (I was at St. John's) to avoid having to interact with this anesthesiologist's office again.
