This is a fine restaurant, friendly accomplished staff, great food, always a delightful family outing in a neighborhood setting. Have been there many times and will continue to go.

i've been here several times, and as everyone agrees, the food is great. but, the service is very disappointing, and rather baffling. last night, 3 of us sat down for dinner and ordered wine. not the cheap house wine, but the real good stuff. we waited a long time to get our wine; not sure why. it wasn't that crowded.
while studying the extensive menus, we asked for some bread to munch on. THE WAITER REFUSED TO GIVE US BREAD, saying we had to order entrees first. we asked several employees for bread and were ignored by all. what is this? maybe next time (if there is one) we'll bring our own bread......
our total bill was around $140. how much do you have to spend to get bread with your wine?
It's been a while since I've had any entrees other than pizza here, but I can tell you that the pizza's pretty good. At least the basic ones. The margherite is especially good, with fresh basil. The salame was over-salted, though, and the pesto would be better if the pesto was spread throughout the pie instead of a few dollops here and there.

Crisp, crunchy, thin-crust pizzas are served fresh and hot at this Los Feliz pizzeria. The varieties range from classics like margherita and pepperoni to more interesting choices like the Vegetariana, which is the perfect option for non-meat eaters and comes loaded with eggplant, bell peppers, mushrooms and radicchio.
I really enjoyed Farfalla. It is a fairly small Italian restaurant with a pretty deep menu of pasta, pizzas and other Italian food. The food is tasty and service is good. i "think" you can bring your own wine although not 100% sure. Would go again.
From the minute you walk in, you know exactly how authentic this Italian restaurant is. The first thing you see is the chefs in the kitchen, manning multiple pans of sauces, pastas, and pizzas.
The decor is a mix between country charm and gastro-pub, with wooden tables and wine menus and specials displayed on chalkboards around the room. It's a small, cozy space, and can get a little loud when it's full (which it almost always is), but that's just part of the charm.
The food is just amazing. From the bread and antipasto they bring out at the beginning of the meal, to the perfectly crusted pizza and the just-so sauced pasta, I've never had a meal here that wasn't excellent (and I've been here a lot).
Never had room for desert, but I expect that would be great, too.
Good for: romantic meals, out of town guests, a spectacular dinner every time you're in Los Feliz.

The best Northern Italian food on the East side of LA! I can't go anywhere else without always making comparisons to this place. Mouthwatering pastas, excellent fish and meat, and pretty good prices. Farfalla offers excellent service (my waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu) and one of the city's best wine lists. Sometimes they have a long wait but it's always worth it.
