Good experience great prices. What good cookies and ice cream combo is suppose to be. It's worth the wait
Diddy Riese is by far the best cookie and ice cream cookie experience in Los Angeles** (that is not on a truck). The cookies used to be only 25 cents, and you'd see the line going out the door in UCLA territory. They raised the price finally to 40 cents? now but STILL! That's like a third of a Mrs Fields cookie, same size and better. Open late - go now!
You will enjoy the best cookies ever !!

Provided by CitysearchI absolutely love this place. Cookies are good because it's always FRESH! this place is soooo busy that the oven just does not stop and you are ALWAYS getting new fresh, warm cookies. Regardless of the type you choose, it's so good, delicious and affordable! Totally recommend. Don't be afraid of the long lines, it's worth the wait!

Provided by CitysearchI can't believe how many ""sheep"" buy into this place. It's a cookie, a FAIR cookie, nothing extraordinary.
If people think this is a good cookie, they haven't had one. Mrs. Fields beats them hands down in my opinion. I've had just as good of a cookie at the grocery store.

Provided by CitysearchOur food came out on time and was prepared just right. I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as ok but the food made up for it! I

Provided by CitysearchThe line is always wrapped around the corner but the cookies are definitely worth it! Nice and warm and delicious!

Provided by CitysearchIf you love Cookies, Ice Cream, and all for just under $2 bucks then you owe it to yourself to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!
Ok, throw away your diet because you'll never see it again. This is sandwich cookies at their best. Mix and match and go wild. This is a childhood treat.

Provided by CitysearchDiddy Reise is the reason I gained the freshman 15 when I became a student at UCLA. Ice-cream cookie sandwiches for a 1.50? Deal. The lack of a full 5 stars is due to the fact that there is always a line no matter what time of day/night. Also because sometimes the cookies are a bit harder.
I love the simplicity of the place though, its cookies, brownies (no one gets them) and ice cream. They use to serve hotdogs but that stopped because it was totally unnecessary.
Oh, and I must take a moment to say, try the Hawaiian Ice!
It is DELICIOUS and incredibly refreshing on a hot day.

Provided by Citysearch3 cookies of your choice for $1. Ice cream sandwiches (pick your two cookies and the middle ice cream) for like $1.25 or $1.50. Can't go wrong, ever. How could anybody ever complain
There is something like 12 flavors of cookies, idk how many of ice cream. Smacked in the center of Westwood you'd expect something more expensive. Cheap!
Look out, you might want to try to live off of cookies

Provided by CitysearchOf course there would be a line for this (but it does go by fast). Cookies and ice cream is so yummy! So simple to make, but it's not the same. AND it's only $1.50. Whenever I'm in the area, I HAVE to stop by Diddy Riese. There's not really any place to sit, but it's a good desert to have while walking around Westwood.

Provided by CitysearchPerhaps best known among college students starving for its sweet relief from studying, Diddy Riese is a landmark in UCLA's Westwood. It is one of the first places introduced to newly-accepted freshmen, and rightfully so, as Diddy's ten varieties of freshly-baked cookies and twelve flavors of Dreyers premium grand ice cream deserve the attention. The best parts: sinfully cheap prices and late night hours. Ice cream sandwiches - any combo of two cookies and a generous scoop of ice cream smooshed between them - are only $1.50 and a perfect late-night treat. My go-to favorite: oatmeal raisin with espresso chip ice cream.

Provided by CitysearchI love diddy riese ice cream sandwiches! What an amazing idea, ice cream sandwiched between cookies. God, I wish I had thought of it. There are various ice cream flavors and different types of cookies. I've made it my mission to try all of them because I am a glutton. Only problem is it's so far away.

Provided by CitysearchWhat is there to say about Diddy Riese that hasn't already been said? They leave me speechless but full! The best dessert in town!

Provided by CitysearchJust like the headline says.. .you pay more for parking then you do the amazing cookies!!! i think its something about the fact that it is cheap that makes it taste that much better. If you dont want the ice cream, you can just get the cookie, but i highly recommend goin the whole 9 yards... 2 thumbs up Diddy!!

Provided by CitysearchI love everything about this place! And so does pretty much everyone I know - the place is definitely a Westwood/Los Angeles institution, and with good reason. I am a serious dessert lover (my first word was 'chocy', short for chocolate), and I've never had better chocolate chip cookies. Soft, chewy, and just sweet enough, they're classic with an extra deliciousness abut them. It's a one of a kind place - everyone is friendly, patient while taking orders (even large ones) and the prices are SO cheap - 3 cookies for a dollar! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner the other day and he was such a nice guy. I'd also add that no one I've known who goes there (and I know quite a few people, since I'm there several times a week) has had a bad experience there or anything CLOSE to what the person below me has said. Do yourself a favor and stop by - make sure you have cash!

Provided by Citysearchme and my friends went to this place in westwood village one night, and unfortunately i refused to give them service becuase as i was ordering i asked if they had chocolate milk available to sell, and one of the employees said ""si aqui lo tengo"" and grabbed his crotch. REALLY innappropriate. in translation he said, ""yes, right here"". but aside from that i heard their desserts are good.
