We have Viking Double Oven and we have always been really happy with. So when we were roasting a chicken one day and came in to find our oven had ramped up to 500 degrees and the door was locked and would not open or shut down, we were very surprised. I had to throw the breaker to get the oven to power down, and once it powered down we could finally get the door open. The chicken was ruined. It was comical how black the chicken was. It was like a scene in some silly comedy. It was black as charcoal and smoking. The part that was not funny was the part where we could have burned our house down if we would not have caught it when we did. I love Yachting! I just love being out on the water. So a few years back my husband and I made the jump, and purchased a Yacht. A Carver C40, she is a beautiful ship, and we try to spend as much time on the water as we can. We were out last weekend with friends when our U-Line Ice Maker went on the fritz. This summer we were having a barbeque with our Viking outdoor Grill with a Rotisserie attachment. I was using the Rotisserie to slow cook a Prime Rib when the rotisserie attachment quit spinning. I purchased my Maytag dishwasher about three years ago, and I have been happy with it so far, until about three months ago when it started having trouble draining at the end of the rinse cycle. I noticed that when I finished putting the dishes away, that there was still water in the bottom of the dishwater. When I checked again in the morning the water had gone down, but this started to be the norm. It would take hours for the water to drain after doing a load of dishes. One day I woke up in the morning and went to make breakfast and I could detect the faint smell of Gas when I went to light my Hotpoint 24” Free- Standing Gas Range. I purchased the Range about five years ago, and I have not had too many problems with it, just minor stuff. When I smelled the gas I immediately shut off the gas valve and looked for an appliance repair company with my IPhone. One of the burners had a small leak. What impressed me even more was that Henry had the parts he needed to fix my Range on the truck with him. Usually when I get anything fixed, it takes week to get an appointment, and then they always have to order parts and end up showing up a week after that if you’re lucky.
