Great service, great prices, and a wonderful team. What else could I ask for? There is a reason why our school has been using this family run company for 5 years. One of my neighbors (also works in a school) recommended them to me, and since, two of our Jewish academies on the west side have been utterly content with the service. I find the reviews by these two a little odd, since nothing like that has ever happen to us in our five years of using American GTS. I was even touched to receive a gift from the office staff to thank us for their service. Customer Service? It really doesn't get any better!
We hired buses from this company for three nights of our event. The first night we had the bus hired for 5 hours. He disappeared after 3:45 and left 20 of our guests stranded. Some had to walk home and some had to pay for their own cabs. The very next night, we hired two buses for the first hour to get the guests transported quickly. One of the buses arrived 45 minutes late (which was actually 1:15 late since we were told they would arrive 30 minutes early). The most shocking part of this is they don't want to refund us anything for the first night, and only want to give us a little bit back on the second night even though the second bus was so late it was actually useless.
This company caused me a ton of stress for my event and I would not recommend them.
FALSE CLAIM. In response to the above complaint: The vehicle was booked for five hours for the first night. The trip began at 9:00 PM, and therefore, the bus would have left by 2:00 AM. The individual states that our bus disappeared after 3:45, leaving 20 guests stranded. The complaint states that our driver left at 3:45 a.m. which means the driver remained nearly 2 hours beyond the departure time (with no additional payment). The company is not responsible for guests who failed to appear for departure. In regard to the complaint that on the 2nd night the bus was late, California state law requires random inspections of transport buses. When inspections are made, delays will occur. One of the buses was 30" early - and the other was stopped en route for a random CHP check - arriving 20 minutes late. If all guests had been gone and the bus was no longer needed - of course we would have considered refunding the fee. This was not the case, however and the bus was utilized. As a courtesy we offered a 50% refund. Since our "norm" is a 5-hour guarantee and since we made an exception by allowing for an hour rental for 2 buses, I think we were more than fair. American GTS is known for its good customer service and competitive pricing. It is unfortunate that the individual posting a complaint took no responsibility for the failure of the individuals in their party to be back on the bus by the contracted departure time. Services were still rendered, and transportation was provided for the group for 3 nights. We have numerous return customers who are very pleased with our services. Delays do occur (especially here in Los Angeles). While we take every precaution to plan for such delays - unfortunately we have no control over a random CHP inspection stop which is why we aim to arrive early to our events. Nor do we have control over participants who fail to board return buses by the stated departure time. Anna Saeidi Owner
