Not only is this the golf course from *Swingers*, but it is a great way to blow an hour - and it is cheap. The prices may have gone up recently, but a round used to cost $4 during the week; and club rental was - get this - $0.25. They recently renovated the course as well so it should be even better!
This review is for the Wilson golf course. It's a classic layout with good length to it. Better than average muni conditions but that also depends a lot on time of year. There's two full 18-hole courses here and they both get heavy play... credit to the grounds crew for keeping the fairways and greens nice. Play early AM and the pace shouldn't be an issue OR stop playing tour pro and lining up shots for doubles/triples!!
So far....Upon move in it took 3 weeks to be able to just have access to cable/internetThere is currently no secured parking, the garage doors which were promised to be installed by the move-in date (6 weeks ago) have still not been installed and my car was broken into while parked in the open garage.I was lied to regarding numerous items including the privacy of our rooftop patio.A working intercom system was not up until over 2 weeks after move in.AND it is next to impossible to simply get consistent communication from management/ owner. Its hit or miss whether they will call back. And if they do its a 50% chance the issue will be addressed or you will be promised a callback or "decision" regarding your call, and may or may not get that callback.

It is obviously not every gay man's cup of tea, but the place does deliver the goods. Some complain it's too "dirty" and "tacky;"(a reasonably clean former warehouse, it aims for a masculine aurra;prettification is not in keeping with the image.) To my mind, the place gets it basically right: it's just dark enough and funky enough to allow for one to indulge in some fantasies, a sort of amusement park of the male senses. If you have ever tried an Internet hook-up, and found the person showing up at your door is not remotely like the one you thought you invited over, this place provides a less problematic (and safer) option. And yes, "safe" behavior is very actively encouraged and supported throughout from the time you sign in. Refreshingly, Slammer is not the least bit ageist (nor any other "ist" that I have observed) Both young and older co-mingle minus the tired cattiness of some gay bars. One piece of advice: male assertiveness is attractive in such a place; leave your inner "shy violet" at home and join in, (safely of course,) As places for play go, it's what you make it, and a hell of a sandbox for the adventurous.
$4.50 for a round. Course is in good condition. Great place for a round with buddies after work. Bring your putter, your PW....and don't forget the suds!
