OMG the best indian food, I was looking the great Indian food in LA.Finaly i found India's Tandoori. They use to be on Pico/Fairfax but they moved from there and i did not know what happened to them.I was driving on Wilshire near La Brea and i saw India`s Tandoori. I thought may be this is the same one, when i went inside and i saw the same waitress who use to work on Pico. She told me we moved her more than three years ago.I tried their Lunch Buiffet the food is amazing,so many choices, never seen these many choices in Indian Restaurant. I am soooooooooooooooooooo Happy!!!!!!
Me and my husband went there for Dinner. Reached a little late. The attendants were great. They actually follow the rule "Service with a Smile". We tried the Lamb chops for starters. They were awesome. Then we ordered for the Chicken Biryani and the Chicken Makhani. I thought it would be sweet but it was the best i've ever had. And the Biryani was also good. Havent tried the Buffet. Cant wait to try that out For all the folks who enjoy Indian Food you must try this place. You would want to go there again. **** food **** service **** prices
Five of us with a little kid were driving from San Diego it was Sat around 11.00 & we landed up here in India's Grill. The owner greeted us with such a warm feeling that we forgot all the driving stress. We were treated with nice hot cup of Masala Chai ( Tea) and superb food. Very well cooked - mind you lot of Indian food place are very high on Cream. But not this place. The Food was cooked perfect. An Excellent place to get real Desi Khana. All the very best.
When I get the lunch special "spicy" I have enough food for lunch and two meals of leftovers. The food just gets better and better with time. Great take-out. We ordered seven or eight dishes for lunch when shooting a commercial up the street and same deal lots and lots of great food. We've all gone back many times and call each other if we passby as a reminder.. ****good! OK , but maybe you shouldn't tell anyone or they might get too busy?
I love this place! We used to go to the one in West LA but we moved to Hollywood and were happy to find the Silverlake restaurant. The food is always fresh - staples: veggie chicken, cauliflower, saag and garlic naan. Lots of seating, it's never "crowded" despite delicious affordable food. Sometimes street parking can be challenging but again, the food is worth it!
I have never eaten there for dinner, but their lunch times specials are wonderful. They serve a large portion for a great price Service is fast and efficient. I can't speak to a lot of the different items on the menu because I am stuck on the Tandoori chicken. The Tandoori Chicken Lunch Special is served with 2 curries, a soup rice and naan. Great value!
Crown of India is in a small, sketchy-looking strip mall, which is unfortunate, because it has terrific food and great deals. There's a thali special, where you get 15% off. And the portions are quite large- you're sure to go home with leftovers! I would highly recommend it- don't let the sketchy area fool you, it's a great restaurant!
As a student of USC, I stay close to Manas. Having few options for Indian food, We have to go to Manas restaurant every now and then. But since the past year and a half, the food is improving and they are starting new varieties. I am a vegetarian but I have seen lots of American people coming to eat Indian Non-veg options.
It was our first visit to this restaurant and our first time dining on Indian fare but the waiters were so patient and helpful in trying to figure out what we really wanted. When the food came, it was prompt and delicious. They have a buffet, too which we look forward to having soon.
I had not been satisfied by the Indian restaurants near Glendale and Hollywood, but now that I've found Cowboys and Turbans, I have my regular place. I love the various vegetarian dishes, particularly the chana masala. And I like the minimalist decor with wall art and colored lamps.
