Five of us with a little kid were driving from San Diego it was Sat around 11.00 & we landed up here in India's Grill. The owner greeted us with such a warm feeling that we forgot all the driving stress. We were treated with nice hot cup of Masala Chai ( Tea) and superb food. Very well cooked - mind you lot of Indian food place are very high on Cream. But not this place. The Food was cooked perfect. An Excellent place to get real Desi Khana. All the very best.
I love this place! We used to go to the one in West LA but we moved to Hollywood and were happy to find the Silverlake restaurant. The food is always fresh - staples: veggie chicken, cauliflower, saag and garlic naan. Lots of seating, it's never "crowded" despite delicious affordable food. Sometimes street parking can be challenging but again, the food is worth it!
I have never eaten there for dinner, but their lunch times specials are wonderful. They serve a large portion for a great price Service is fast and efficient. I can't speak to a lot of the different items on the menu because I am stuck on the Tandoori chicken. The Tandoori Chicken Lunch Special is served with 2 curries, a soup rice and naan. Great value!
You can get a 3 item lunch combo for around 10 bucks. They'll let you try free samples before ordering. Place was clean and staff was nice. You also get your choice of regular naan or garlic naan, but I think its a trick question, who doesn't order garlic naan?
You get a lot of food for what you pay. For $16 bucks I received a platter of chicken tikka, spinach korma, chickpeas and a huge portion of basmati rice and naan. I ate until I was full and was able to take a doggy bag home with half my meal. No easy feat.
The food is wonderful and priced great. It's big enough for two meals or one if you're really hungry. The bread and desserts are great as well. One small problem is that the salad never looks fresh but the dressing is wonderful.
Visited this place with my parents, who had just come from India and they found the food to be just as we get in India. Authentic Indian food with good ambiance. Very similar to the high end restaurants of India.
Todd and Ashley were great! Have been coming here since the old location up the street by the 7-11. Still great food and perfect for date night. Even with a coupe of glasses of wine, extremely affordable.
I've been going to India's Grill for over 15 years. Probably the best Indian food in the LA area that I've had. The Chicken Korma is amazing and is a must try. The Seikh Kababs are also crazy good.
This is the only Indian store in the USC area, so didn't have any other choice but to visit this for Indian groceries. The store is very messy and some of the items they stock expired products.
