I've been going to Happy bakery for 3 years now sing my little one has been born and I have never been disappointed everyone who's gone to my parties always ask where I get my cake from. There cakes are supper moist and delicious especially the tres leches cake. Although all flavors are delicious. I recently ordered a cake with them and there printer went out so they called me I told them I needed something and they drew exactly what they couldn't print out onto the cake in a hour. They never disappoint me. Best bakery in town!
I went in to buy a cake, when I walked in another coustomer was already placing an order when the person charging gave her the total it was pretty reasonable $25 for a small cake ...i went ahead and ordered my cake she charged me twice as much ! $56 and the other customer got a pack of free candels with her order I got ONE ! ONE ! -Needless to say DISSAPOINTED
Bonnie B Bakery is an absolute divine experience in deliciousness! The atmosphere is charming, and the sweets sublime. My favorites are the lemon and chocolate chip cookies. Of course, you do have to pay a bit more when good ingredients are used. Bonnie's prices are more than fair. She is an asset to our View Park neighborhood.
Came here with my Filipina friend and she guided me through the cafeteria style food choice options. Curry chicken and crispy pork bits were delicious. There was also a type of beef stew that was great. Plenty of seating space. The place also has a bakery with all the favorites like the milk sugar bars and cakes.
My wife and I have ordered several cakes from Hansen's and have never been disappointed. The decorating is top-notch and the taste is too. Also, the price is fair in comparison to other bakeries offering custom cakes.
To begin my review, allow me to state that this is in regards to HEALTH and food safety concerns only -- this is not a review based upon the taste of this bakery's products. On 12/19/16, I purchased the Blueberry Fiber Cakes from my local Whole Foods -- these cakes were clearly dated with a USE BY Date of 12/27/16. Upon taking them home and consuming a muffin, I went about my business as usual, and all seemed fine until less than 16 hours later when I became extremely ill with stomach upset and vomiting and, to my horror, I noted that the Fiber Cakes had turned completely moldy -- a blue, mottled mold covering almost the entirety of the Blueberry Fiber Cakes. Literally overnight, these Fiber Cakes molded to the monstrosity which you will see in the photos I am providing -- and 7 full days PRIOR to the "expiration date" on the package. I spoke with Whole Foods and was advised to contact the vendor directly (ZEN BAKERY), as the dates are placed on the package according to when the items arrive in-store. Well, I did just that and was met with a very incompetent situation, on top of my illness as a result of eating these contaminated muffins. After contacting the owner (at least I assume he is the owner, as his email reply was very short with little information) Jack Drake, I was generated a short email with a claim number to Nationwide insurance which he filed on my behalf (which I did not request). I visited a doctor on 12/22 after days of vomiting and stomach cramps/upset (and other stomach issues which I will spare here), who diagnosed me with food poisoning, prescribed a medication to abate the vomiting, and referred me to the ER if it continued. Well, even with the photographic proof of these contaminated Fiber Cakes, the doctor visit notes from my chart directly, and other pertinent information, my "claim" was denied and Jack Drake is nowhere to be found now, and is not returning emails.
I must admit that their cakes are pricy, but I really like them, especially the Green Tea Mille Crêpes, Strawberry Shortcake, and Couronne du Chocolat. We drive all the way from Glendale a lot just for their cakes. One day I just told my husband I felt like eating Lady M and what's waiting for me at home after work was a box of all the 11 flavors that were available on that day. He bought 12 pieces because he wanted to make a whole cake for me (so sweet!). Lady M offered one on the house because he bought a lot. It was a 2.5 hour drive including traffic and he doesn't eat cake at all. I felt so spoiled! One of the reviews mentioned $10 for the to-go box but we were never charged anything for the box.
Excellent Mexican bread. My favorite are the small conchitas. They are so crunchy and buttery! Hidden LA gem.
