BEWARE! their property manager of Wilshire Berendo Towers: Sam Park and his wife, are racist and harassed my black friends every time they visited me. From not allowing them to park in my designated parking spot to stalking them via the video cameras to approach them with hostility and yell at them to leave. If you have a diverse friend group do not ever lease from Beverly Hills Properties.
DONT MOVE HERE !!!!! ,I lived here for 2 years and I am finally moving out. Neighbors fighting every other week, people piss in the elevators and in the stairways, trash be everywhere, washing machines don't work , dryers dont even dry your clothing, all the cameras don't work, there's a homeless guy that sleeps in the laundry room and for some odd reason he walks around at night looking in peoples windows. Also, my bath tub needs to be repaired, the problem I am having with my tub is actually a health issue. I've been contacting them leaving messages for almost 2 weeks(by law they're supposed to respond in 24-48). management horrible, area horrible piss smells horrible.
Whether you are a Korean or not,she is mean and rude. Compare to the poor service, the rent is not a good deal.
I recently (5/14/16) stayed the night here last minute and it was by far my worst experience for an overnight stay. The pictures make it look way better than it actually is. I should've read the reviews here first. Up on the floor is a disaster. The hallway to our room smelt like cat urine. Any person would've thought to turn around and look for a better place but because it wasn't refundable we chose to stay. When we got into the room it wasn't as pleasant or big as the pictures make it look. There was a big ink stain on our bed frame and the shower head was old and needed to be replaced, I hadn't noticed that it was spraying upward and had soaked the entire TINY bathroom floor. PLEASE do not be fooled into staying here. They need a lot of renovating done if they want their guests to leave with better experiences.
I made a huge mistake!!!!! Even though I read hoover_reviewer_001's review on the manager named Helen... I moved in. One of the worst mistakes I ever made. The manager Helen Bateman is a Korean old lady who is RUDE AND MEAN. Well, at least I'm Korean... If you are NOT Korean.... Don't move in!!! She is ONLY nice to those Korean tenants who give her a cash gift. If you don't give her any gift within 3 months, she will treat you like a crap. The apartment sucks too! I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE because of the manager Helen. I'm writing this review to warn you. Don't make the same mistake I made. I'm so glad that I moved out.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't do it!
DONT MOVE IN! There is a lot of things wrong with the apartments but most of all the problem is the OWNER! Robin is by far the most unreasonable penny pinching landlord I have ever came across. The apartments gets extremely hot in the summer, extremely cold in the winter(poor insulation), the parking on the street is awful, only one washer/dryer for everyone blah blah blah...Good luck but don't move in here.
Great deal and beautiful apartment. My building neighbors are friendly yet quiet when I am working. My apartment overlooks the pool with a great view. The furniture is modern and the apartment is very clean. I've been here three months and am extending my stay. I recommend this business!
This place recently went through major renovation but what a money wasted. They made the entrance, lobby, and hallways look nice but the real problem lies hidden.- Walls are SUPER-THIN (the ceiling is about to break loose on you whenver the upstair neighbors walk around, you hear chatters, TV's, neighbors making love - just a like cheap motel)- Lots of cars passing thorugh on Hoover Street. Constantly and illegally double parked cars by the entrace yet no one's willing to do anything about it. Wannabe gangsters like to smoke and hang out by the apartment until late night.Onsite manager is delusional and a lying *****. You ask to fix something, it takes minimum 2 weeks. She calls at nights, drop in at nights without notice, just because it's convenient for her to work at that time. You complain about the noise but does nothing at all. Rip off of your security deposit for the damage that was done by the previous tenant, even though she agreed earlier that it was there before and won't take it from you.Don't trust anything she says. Read the lease thoroughly. Have everything in writing. Contact the management office directly. (310-278-8000 Beverly Hills Properties)Simply not worth the money. Simply not worth living.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! This building is terrible. The units are tiny, dark, and grossly overpriced. The building is practically on top of the 10 freeway. The neighborhood is ugly and scroungy.I made an appointment to view a 1bed+loft here listed for $1,700. When I got there, they instead showed me a $2,000 2b/2b. When I pointed out that this wasn't the unit I had arranged to view, the manager told me the unit for which I had taken time out of my day and had driven out to see wasn't available and I would have to check back with them later! What a scam, what an infuriating waste of my time. Stay away from this place at all costs.
