My puppy got hurt yesterday, called our mobile vet and she said he needed a xray. Spoke to the owner Jeff and let me tell you , he was very RUDE, NASTY, HATEFUL! Do not use this vet, there are others out there that treat you with respect. He will not get our service, Will drive 100 miles before I take my sweet puppy to him!
Ridgeview Vet took exemplary steps to insure that our rescue collie was safe during his neutering operation. He had his hip rebuilt as a result of a car accident (which is how he ended up in rescue) and during that operation (at the specialist in Santa Fe) he aspirated and developed pneumonia. Dr. Williams researched operating positions and pre-op drugs to reduce his changes of having any problems which were exacerbated by an existing swallowing problem. His operation occurred without a hitch.
Our collie's long term swallowing problems requires special drugs and Ridgeview recommended that he get meds mixed up thru RoadRunner Rx in AZ. Well, I was thinking this is going to cost big bucks! But I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the drug cost ended up being about $20 a month.
We trust our very wonderful rescue collie to no other practice!
I am going to admit we put our dog through a long car ride and she lost it. She was upset, insane with anxiety. It was our fault that she was so upset but we wanted to get her help immediately (I've seen dogs hurt themselves from anxiety). We brought her into Ridgeview where the vet tech proceeded to try to get our stressed out husky to do tricks and when she didn't perform (because she was stressed) she acted like we were horrible dog owners! Then the vet comes in and we explained our situation and she just sat there staring at us like "and why are you here? why are you surprised that your dog is anxious?" they gave us xanax and it didn't work. When I called them they said "That vet isn't in right now but we'll leave a message for her and she'll call you back tomorrow" We don't need help TOMORROW we need help TODAY... why couldn't they have asked a vet? Was it that inconvenient? They never called back. We ended up getting her a ThunderShirt from the local pet store Pet Pangea (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!) and that helped more (and was cheaper than) the vet. Rude, unfriendly, judgmental and poor costumer care. It is a surprise they are still in business.
Ridgeview Veterinary Clinic is one of the best clinics I've ever taken my animals for care. The entire staff is just awesome! From the moment you arrive with your pet, you feel as though you and your pet are the only ones in the room. The receptionist Terry is friendly, professional and a pleasure to talk with. The clinic is bright and clean, and Dr. Williams is the best! She always has a big bright smile when she comes into the room, and it's easy to tell she really loves animals. She has always gone above and beyond when she examines my pets to make sure she hasn't missed a thing. My son's dog Jack actually likes coming to see her! Ridgeview is very reasonably priced, and I have never had to wait to get an appointment. They truly are Exceptional.
