First class indeed! Love the work that Cheung's is able to perform on my entire wedding party. I had my wedding dress alterations our party's bridesmaid dresses and the guys suits done. Very kind people, absolutely great work and the party was very happy. Thanks Cheungs!
Had a leather jacket repaired with my two pockets and a variation of aviation patches I use to have on a previous jacket replace and redone. I would highly recommend the work this tailor is able to perform. I've had tailors in the past, though this wasn't like a large tailoring job I know through our conversations prior to coming in and seeing their work is exceptional. I would highly recommend.
Wonderful work from Cheungs. My husband and I recently renewed our wedding vows and I was so happy to find a business so gracious to help us through the process. My wedding gown was a blue lace with rhinestones with 3 large layers of tulle that needed some hemming the straps take up and I had the front restyled. My husbands suit and my wedding dress turned out absolutely wonderful. Even for something that I may not wear more than once I was pleased with how simple making an appointment was talking with the seamstress and tailor to understand our needs and the turn around time they were fantastic to work with. WIll post photos soon. They are my go to tailors, you cannot find someone with their amazing skills!
Thoroughly enjoyed the work and atmosphere of Cheungs Tailor. I've worked with other tailors in the past that were really good at their profession as well, but the guy at Cheungs help me realize what originality can be done with my suit jackets. Simple projects or complex ones I've placed my trust in Cheungs Tailor from the work I've seen them perform, I am happy to recommend their work to others.
Nothing but exceptional service and fine tailoring at a reasonable price. Coming from New York many of us were use to the boutique style and expensive high cost of tailoring services. At Cheung's I felt unbelievably welcomed, friendly service and honestly like a new friend. The staff was very easy to speak with, understood my needs, and even completed things before the promised date. I've never really searched out tailoring or services in the past, but these guys have placed a great standard for the industry being 25 years in business! I had purchased and brought in two long dresses for a cruise due to the style of the dress it needed a perfect under stitch, so it wouldn't show through. They delivered exceptional quality. I highly recommend them to anyone!
What a beautiful experience with the tailors. My family has visited Cheung's for over 15 years. From my son's wedding, my dress and most recently my grand daughters prom. Though we're fairly normal sized doesn't mean there is always something that fits. But It's great to know I have someone whom I trust that I can bring my garments to. It's amazing where this world of technology has gone. You'll find a picture of my grand daughter on their webpage www.cheungstailor.com thank you for your service Cheungs!
Great local tailor shop. Never needed a tailor until my girlfriend asked me to be a bridesmaid. Then came the lets hurry and find a dress, but it doesn't work like that. I had then purchased a dress locally and was recommended from the bride to try out Cheung's. Literally did a top to bottom alterations on my bridesmaid dress tailoring. Took up the strap and did a bridesmaid dress hemming. Will be back for my wedding dress tailoring!
Very happy with my experience at Cheungs. I had several new expensive suits for my new position at a local corporation. Coming from New York I was hesitant to search out a new bespoke tailor. I was told of Cheung's from a new colleague whom recommended their services. After considerations of viewing their online portfolio and skill work I am without reservation very happy about the quality, expertise and skills that this tailor shop possess. I would highly recommend them for your men's tailoring or alteration needs.
Janette worked with me on a very short timetable to get a bridesmaid dress shortened and hemmed. She was incredibly professional, kind, and affordable! I would highly recommend Sew Plus tailors.
WOW, I don't really know how to sum up my experience today. I believe in giving the whole story so this may be a bit long, but I believe it is only fair (if you want to skip ahead where things get ugly, read the 2nd to last paragraph). Altug the owner was very nice when I first brought in my jacket for a sleeve tailoring. His price seemed fair for two sleeves, and I left feeling like a just met a very warm and generous person. I have 8 weddings to go to this year alone, so this seemed like a great thing at the time. When I showed up next time to pick up my jacket, one sleeve was about 1/2-1 inch longer than the other--no problem, I'll just have him alter it a bit and come back once more. He seemed very happy to do this and again, I left feeling like I had just found the nicest tailor in my area. However, when I came back for the third time, I noticed that the pin he had placed for the second altering was still in the jacket, signaling to me he hadn't actually worked on it, but either forgot or hoped that I would assume he did the job and not notice the lack of difference in length as I had before. I did again notice a difference though, and he was very happy to--in his mind maybe a third time--fix the jacket up. I mentioned this to my gf when I got home how he may not have worked on it, but it still didn't bother me, because he still had such a warm nature about him.Unfortunately, when I went in the last time, it was a much different situation than the previous ones. The pictures attached show the variance in work done by him. I'll admit that the first sleeve is great! However the one that needed to be re-done is sloppy at best (loose, uneven hems, bad ties, etc), showing little effort and either a lack of care or a rushed job. Not only this, when I showed it to him, he IMMEDIATELY GOT HEATED AND STARTED TO INSULT ME! "That is the best my machine can do", which is a lie, as I then asked how the other sleeve was so good, "you are just too picky, I don't know what you want me to do?!". We have exchanged nothing but pleasantries up to this point, so I was stunned by what I was hearing: "women are not as picky as you!" - mind you a woman was in the store at the time, "you are a child, I can't believe someone could be as rude as you have been", after several insults like this I told him off, he responded by insulting my family, how I was raised, and equating my maturity to that of a child. This is all because he was too proud to admit that his work was not good. The poor girl who had to witness this was even called on by him to judge his work on the jacket--I showed it to her, although I'll admit I feel bad for complying with Altug's wish to put her in this unfortunate position, as she was dropping something off as well and would be at his mercy thereafter--and she admitted the work was "sloppy". She did say it under her breath, I'm sure terrified of this man who I can only describe as Bi-polar in nature, given his range of extremely nice, to impatient, aggressive and insulting. I'll make sure to tell the dozen or so people I know in the city who will be attending weddings this year and who are probably going to be using a tailor at some point, to steer clear of this man and his volatile behavior towards clients.
