Wekiva Springs Pediatrics

Wekiva Springs has amazing doctors and staff. They are very patient with my children and do a great job.

Doctor is OK, the staff Is TERRIBLE.
I am sorry to say but this practice needs a new group of professionals to run the office.
Records get lost, they do not fax medical reports to specialists, took 2 weeks to get a referral to make an appointment with an ENT.
I was trying to be patience, and take a deep breath time I called to request something.
I am changing my kids to another pediatric, which hopefully will treat us well.

The best pediatrician my daughters can have! Always helpful and understanding and staff is super friendly.

I got to my appointment sign in sat down. All of a sudden I hear the receptionist talk negative about the Dr Carrasquero so how can I trust an office like this if they talk like that about eachother that tall girl with long hair she's very mean always huffing and puffing every time I call.

I'll make this short and sweet. I really liked the doctor but her staff is terrible. They don't return phone calls, I had to give them my insurance card numerous times, they barely speak to you when you enter the office. My daughter is 2 months old and the doctor told them not to let me sit in the waiting area with other kids because she's so young and could get sick easily they didn't follow any of those orders. It's not even her nurse. It's the 2 ladies in the front office. They are so rude. I decided to switch my daughter's physician.

I recently transferred Pediatric doctors for my children, and I was highly recommended to Dr. Luisa Carrasquero by one of my neighbors. I called to make an appointment for my children to be seen and any information I might need and the receptionist I believe her name was Perla was very sweet, very nice and welcoming and explained what I would need for the visit. She also made sure I had the right directions to the office. While waiting for my son's appointments I couldn't avoid overhearing a phone call where the woman on the line was yelling at the top of her lungs at this receptionist wanting a prescription filled out for Antibiotics for her child. Everyone knows that in order to get Antibiotics the person/child has to be seen by the physician. A doctor cannot just give these mother's prescriptions like chicklets to give to their kids. How stupid can she be. So this woman was upset and cursing and a few of us in the waiting room were glad that The Dr. held her ground and didn't give in to this woman's tantrums and absurd request. She said she was taking her business elsewhere and that the girls were stupid, nasty and unprofessional and didn't help her at all. Well, I'm a witness that these girls handled the caller as best as they could since she didn't let them get a word in with all that yelling. How rude. Had it been me, that just moved from NYC, I would of cursed her out and I would of told her where to take her business, Good riddence. My kids are doing well and I plan to stay with Dr. Carrasquero for a long time, well, at least till their teens. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Carrasquero is very nice and sits down and thoroughly explains everything to her patients. However, as a nurse she does seem a little inexperienced which concerns me regarding my children. Also, it is a nice office and location. However, the girls at the front desk are very rude, and very unprofessional. When calling to make appointments they make me feel like it an inconvenience of their time. I can hear her huffing or puffing, like "uuhh". They do not use manners, like hope you feel better or have a nice day! They forgot to give me back my ID and insurance cards on several occasions, and I had to drive back to get them. All in all, the ONLY lady that seem to smile or talk friendly to me or my children in this office is the Dr. I will be looking for a more professional office and more experienced Dr. very soon.
