Horrible customer relations, unreliable service, rude/uncaring delivery driver. Long time customer had been set up on monthly delivery service for several years. Service was abruptly ended in the middle of the winter without notification to customer. Propane tank at seasonally used vacation home ran out of gas. This went undiscovered for some time due to Hygiene Propane/Peak to Peak Propane's failure to notify customer that they no longer wished to provide service to the address. Delivery was refused to loyal customer with empty propane tank in freezing temperatures due to small owned tank and private road access (in town, open and maintained). The driver claimed they had not been paid, then office agent admitted that payments had been regularly made for years, that there was no balance due, and that the previous bill was paid over a month prior to refused delivery. Simply boiled down to the fact that the driver is lazy and did not want to service a small tank with private road access and that Customer Service agent (who did nothing to resolve the issue despite weather conditions) has no empathy or appreciation of loyal customers. This company's uncaring, unreliable, apathetic treatment of loyal customers is appalling. Cannot recommend more strongly against doing any business with them if you value good service, trust and reliability.
I went to Clark's today, 1/27/15, for the first refill on my recently purchased used motorhome's 100 lb propane tank. Without a word the operator quickly hooked up and pumped in 19.9 gallons on their meter and charged $70.00, $3.52 per gallon. The tank started empty and there was not a trace of liquid coming from the vent when he cut off the flow. When I got home I noticed the gauge showed 3/4 full. A little checking on the internet shows that 100 pounds is 23.6 gallons. Their web sight brags about always giving a full fill and advertizes a 100 pound fill for $77.00, $3.26 per gallon. The people were friendly and quick, but I would have preferred a full fill at the lower price per gallon as advertized.
