As a recent customer to NorthStar I feel the need to share my personal experience as I find these reviews to be highly beneficial. As a first time buyer I was a little skeptical on "car salesmen" considering all the "red lights" I was told to watch out for when purchasing a car. And as cliche as this may sound when i first walked into this place I had a feeling that this may have been the only dealership I needed to check out. Nonetheless I checked out a few cars I liked spoke to the salesman, Arthur and decided to return for a final decision. I walked out and as people usually insist on "never buy the first car you see" I decided to check out other dealerships. I actually went into Honda (official dealer) the service there was TERRIBLE .. those guys work on a "I will sell you what I (the salesman) want to sell you" I ran out of there. Then I went to Nissan (official dealer) the salesmen there asked "what's your budget?" I didn't really have a budget since I wanted to finance, so I asked "can I see some cars?" and he insisted not once nor twice but thrice on "What's your budget?" and I insisted yet and asked.. "can I see some Versas?" the salesman said "I can show you versas but i need to know your budget!" Now i dont know if this is the adequate sales tactic, but I ran out of there as well. Sure enough NorthStar was the place for me!! I bout a Nissan Versa, very happy with the car the service and the experience in its entity were great!! The guys there were very friendly and helped in every way possible, I honestly have ZERO complains. The dealership feels very welcoming as everyone treats you as if they've known you for quite some time. Answering every silly question (hence the first time buyer) I had. I don't normally write reviews but this one was worth writing, If you are thinking about buying a car, this is the place you should visit, and if you don't believe me I don't mind taking a drive to show you guys my new car to see for yourselves. =)
I recently decided to leave New York and move to Los Angeles, and in order to do that I had to buy a car. I knew exactly what I wanted, did my research, and found the car I was looking for at Northstar. I came in on a Sunday morning and met Ray, who is kind of like my family member now. Because I hadn't driven in so long, I had let my license expire, but thought that I could buy the car before I renewed my license. If you are thinking of doing this, I would recommend that you take care of the license renewal first. But if you want to do it like I did, make sure you find Ray at Northstar because he will pull out every single trick possible to help you get your car. He came in on days he wasn't scheduled, called and texted me with updates, looked up DMV information for me to help with the license renewal, and through all of that, had a fantastic disposition. He was awesome to work with and knows what he's doing. I was nervous going to a dealership alone at first bc I am a girl, and I just figured I would be taken advantage of. But there is nothing in his character or professional attitude that made me feel uncomfortable. Actually, throughout the whole experience buying my car, I talked to a few other guys there who were all super friendly and really funny. The owner too was awesome, and I can't remember his name unfortunately, but this is the kind of experience you hope for and want to have when you're spending this kind of money. You don't want to feel belittled and you want to know that you can approach your car dealer with anything, and I feel that way about Ray. Total stand-up guy, and stand-up dealership, you would be smart to check them out.
Finding a new car and actually purchasing it can be very stressful and overwhelming. Especially when you walk into the dealers and your hounded or pressured into doing so. However, none of the above was the case at North Star Auto Dealer. My experience with my new purchase was nothing other than professional, stress-free, and unbelievably smooth.I came into the dealer alone while taking a stroll in the area and inquiring how much will they give me for my old car. From the moment i walked in, car salesman Tony without any pressure, began the process along with Jeremy who at the end of the "trade in/ new purchase ordeal" i nick named him " car Angel ". To say the least, 4 hours later i drove out of their lot with my dream car . This facility not only had the car i have been looking for in the exact color combination ( coincidently), and offered me the most for my trade in, but were also willing to work with me and my budget, answer all the questions i had, and even after purchasing the car ( its been a wk exactly ) i have been able to call or stop by to discuss any concerns or minor issues that they have fixed for me with no problems.I must say i am extremely pleased and satisfied with my experience with North Star. Everyone i dealt with including Leo were very patient, professional, reasonable and extremely courteous even after the purchase . I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new car with a stress -free experience .
Came in with my friend to look at getting a Chevrolet Trailblazer. While we didn't end up purchasing the Trailblazer Jason and Jon were very helpful. We gave them a budget and, the parameters the car we were looking for fell under. Although we couldn't come to an agreement on the deal they did everything to try to work with us and, were very honest and told us they wouldn't sell us a specific car because the abuse that had been out in it. We had looked at a Jeep the night before at another dealership in the area and, they were far pushier and, made the car buying experience stressful and, not exciting. Jon and Jason suggested we go on Craigslist or buy from an individual instead of a dealer due to our circumstances and, our price range. In the future if we had more capital and, better credit Northstar is the first place we would go to. The pricing was the most disappointing aspect of our experience but, I take that with a grain of salt as a dealer has to offer some sort of a warranty on a car the dealer itself must make a profit and, the salesman himself needs to make a living. If you are looking to buy a used car for a dealership and have good credit this is the place for you. Thanks for the honesty, customer service and, the gummy sharks!
Thank you Northstar Auto Sales team for a wonderful day buying my first car. I've been searching for a specific car but have always been apprehensive about buying off a used lot - until now. Arthur was great at working with my budget and the entire crew was supportive in making this sale happen, unlike other used car places I've visited in my search for the car I wanted. Everyone was personable and the establishment is very well kept. I was more than comfortable dealing with all of the guys and ladies who work there. I'm usually a skeptic at buying used cars but Arthur took us through all the details of the car, an easy test drive, and answered all my (many) questions. I had been getting calls for a few days but never made an appointment to see the car because I figure used cars might not be worth it. He let us walk right in and in a matter of minutes we had the car ready to go with no hassles. Also, Leo walked me through all the financing details an is very easy to talk to - no tricks or swindling from anyone. Thanks to Angel too, for letting me get to this car before someone else! I love it and had a great experience working with these guys today.
I was looking for a Honda Accord Coupe for months on multiple car dealership websites when i came across the North Star Auto sales site. From the moment i called the service was AWESOME. The receptionist was very helpful with the all the questions that I asked so i booked an appointment. The day I came in a sales Rep named Jeremy helped me with the car i seen on the site. When i seen the car it was love at first site, I knew it had to be mine. Although my dad had his doubts Jeremy answered ALL his questions. The thing i liked most about this dealership is that i felt no pressure into buying a car. When I decided to buy the car Jeremy even suggested a insurance place that i can get a quote. His customer service surprised me because most dealership sales rep put too much pressure on you to buy a car but not Jeremy. He was patient, helpful and it was a smooth transaction. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who is interested in buying a car. Everyone who works there has great customer service skills not like other Dealerships. Now I am driving the car of my dreams at a excellent price. Thank you again Jeremy!
I had the greatest experience at North Star Auto. I went in looking for a basic car and left with something more. For starters the salesman Arthur was awesome. he didn't put on any pressure and was very honest through out the whole process. I had shopped around for a few weeks and decided to go in to take a look at a Mazda 3 that I had seen online. From the moment I walked in there, everyone was friendly and professional and actually listened to what I wanted. Leo the owner came over to introduce himself and assured me I would be taken care of and I definitely was. Nick the finance manager worked with me and the bank to get me at a monthly payment I was comfortable with. I have had some horrible experience with other dealerships in the neighborhood and it was so refreshing to do business with these people. All in all, great great great experience! I left North Star feeling good about the Mazda I had seen and came back later in the day and drove off with the car! Everyone at North Star made it so easy and simple. It was definitely an amazing experience. I highly recommend North Star Auto!!!
For about two to three months I searched for a vehicle, visiting some of Tower competitors in the business, making numerous phone calls, crisscrossing between Brooklyn and Queens, I was about to give up. Out of no where I decided to try Tower. The gentleman at the other end of the phone convinced me that it will be possible to get a vehicle from Tower. An appointment was set up for me to visit Tower. I still had my doubts because I have traveled the road for several weeks with disappointments. During our meeting at Tower, his sales pitch convinced me that I was at the right place for a vehicle, and it was possible that I will get one from Tower. I told him that I felt comfortable dealing with him and I was beginning to feel confident that I can get a vehicle. I returned to Tower the second day August 6, 2015 to complete the application process. On this faithful day, Ralph became involved with my application and was assured that a vehicle will be ready for me in 10 days. I am eagerly waiting for that day. I am now excited. That is my story with this good and excellent Salesman.
Walked in and I was greeted by the woman at the front desk . I was paired up with Sazid the Sales man . He asked me what I was looking for and I was happy with the SUV I picked out . 1. I was approved on Friday and started the paper before I left , Luna was there to assist me everything and the finance Team went over all the documents. I went in there with a budget and what I wanted , very pleased 2 Sebastian , Garage Manager Took me on the Test drive and explained to me about the car and how they handle the cleaning and detailing when I'm ready to pick it up . We looked over the car and pointed out some things that needed to be buffed out . They Compounded and waxed my car and detailed the interior. My truck came out looking like it rolled out of the factory ! 3. Following Wednesday , I was ready to pick up my SUV and Avi assured me it will be ready in a few mins . He put my plates on it and made sure I had my documents in the car . Reg , Sticker Etc . Before I left I spoke to the owner and thanked him and his team for making this such an easy process. Thank you Tower !
I purchased a vehicle from them a few months ago. This dealership itself has a wide variety of used vehicles for sale. Although the vehicle lot is cramped with many vehicles, the staff does a good job of getting vehicles in and out of the lot. Parking might be a little tight if many customers are present. The main building is very clean and laid out well. The salesman that assisted me with my purchase was very professional, patient, and will work with you to help you get the vehicle you want. Also, before I made my visit to the dealership, I had emailed the staff with some questions, and I promptly received a welcoming response from the Sales Manager. There was no sales pressure, and some negotiating was able to take place. The only time where a salesman pushed for a product was in the financing/closing stage, where extended warranties were heavily marketed/encouraged. Overall, I had a good experience with this dealership and would buy from them again.
