I signed up for a 3 Year Membership for Madison Who's Who last month and I've been doing research now that I've had time to look the site over. Honestly, from what I read I should probably be worried but I haven't experienced anything summarized in these comments, so I'm not(also I feel that a lot of the reviewers just don't understand what it means to network, you DO actually have to request contacts and CONTACT THEM). I signed up on my own free will, provided my information and expected to use the community to connect with others in my field. I requested and received a list of over 100 contacts and proceeded to contact them. Madison Who's Who is a connection to a database full of people waiting to contact/be contacted, which is exactly what i required and exactly what I have experienced. I am fully satisfied and plan to take full advantage of the services provided. Before anyone believes these comments they should talk to someone who understands networking, has utilized the service and can actually provide a helpful and honest answer.

I use to work in that hell hole and like many of us we were only there because it's NYC people need money to pay the rent. One of the things I found to be disturbing was number one they hired any and any body. They never did any background checks and sensitive information about customers were always exposed.
I have worked in other customer service environments in the past where everything was being done on screen but at Madison Who's Who it was all written on paper including credit card accounts, addresses etc
Yes at the end of the day you were required to go up to this area they had and dump all the paper work to be shredded but whose to say that that all the workers were doing that.
In all honesty when I worked there I saw that this company could put people in jeopardy and even inspire identity theft aside the fact that I think they are a scam and full of poop from hell. I found them to be very sloppy when it came to safe guarding peoples information.
Towards the end when I was there. They started getting a little organized and would shred paper but again anything can happen. Any body who works there could still easily steal peoples name, address and credit card information and commit identity theft.
And last I checked it's ILLEGAL for companies to not take extreme measures to protect customers information.
If you want to network and make meaning contacts that go to Linkedin.

I worked for this company for a short amount of time. Huge mistake! They operate their company like a sweatshop, hire their workers as independent contractors when in fact they are employees so that they may save on paying employee taxes. The owners of this hellhole are Matthew Schwartz and Scott Minuta. The CFO is Andy Minuta aka Andrew Jones.
The ""editors"" that call you are not editors, they are inside sales reps and use fake names. During training we were instructed to get the money anyway we could, and to not care about the customer. We had a rebuttal board right in front of us so we had an answer to every objection that anyone may have to giving up their credit card numbers right on the spot. There are no real publishing deadlines and if you do sign up their very aggressive residual sales team will call to sell you plaques, awards and a bunch of other crap that they claim will be sent out in 10-11 months. Why the wait? Because they hope by the time 10 months come around you will not remember the purchase and not realize that you never received your item.
If they call you hang up!

They advertised in Craigslist for an inside sales position. Promised me a base of $3-500 a week, plus 5-25% commis. depending on sales. 401K and contrib. health after 90 days. Sounds like a good eal.
They said they were opening a networking web site, like Facebook or LinkedIn, for C-Level executives. This was my first red flag - C-level executives do not need social networking websites.
A little research, and now .. here I am. I will not be working for this company. The're not even smart enough to change their name after all the bad publicity I've found concerning Madison's Who's Who. Accusations of fraud, shady business practices, the whole works.
No thanks, boys. I don't think I'll be visiting your boiler-room after all.

I am very satisfied with this Professional Networking Service. They have a tremendous amount of International Clients- which is great because you can reach out to members from all over the world. There is also a forum where you can post and read different articles, advertise and ask different questions. I find the website easy to maneuver through which is an added bonus. Very glad I became a member. I feel it will be a great investment in the long run.

Great way to get your name out there-especially when you are first starting out such as myself. When you first start out it is all about the networking. What I found so unique about Madison Who's Who is the chat room and the fact that they have many international clients from what seems like all over the world. I have found Madison Who's Who to be nothing but an informative website and a great networking tool.

There are a lot of very good features on the Madison Who's Who Website. They have a forum section where you can post articles, ask other members questions, advertise your business, jobs, etc.
The best part is the networking- you can network with both domestic and international clients and they have a chat room. It seems like their are members from all over the world which I think is a great feature.
So, so far.. I think that becoming a member has been a smart decision.

My thoughts on Madison Who's Who are that they are a great networking service. I had originally tried out the website on a trial basis and what drove me to become a full fledged member was the fact that I can network internationally. Great website!! I am very glad I became a member!!
All of the positive reviews on this website about Madison Who's Who are fake and written by either an employee of Madison Who's Who or the two con artist that own the company; Scott Minuta & Matt Schwartz.
Ex-exmployees post all over the internety about there scams, 1000's of hits come up on google for Madison Who's Who scam, the have over 100 complaints with the Better Business Bureau of New York State.
IF you read carefully, you will notice all of the positive reviews are new users, writing similar things, who posted once, and all write at a similar 5th grade level.
I just purchased a One Year Membership from Madison Who's Who and I have to say I was a little skepital. Because I was so skepital I called to speak to their customer service department and once I spoke to them my skeptisism was completely eased. Everyone was was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. Since I now know how to navigate myself around the website I have found it to be very useful.
