Dr. Price and his family first got started in chiropractic when their son Jason was just 6 mos. old. It was actually Jason who received the first chiropractic adjustment of the family. As the story goes, Jason’s mother Kristen was concerned that he was constipated for several days and had begun to worry as any young mother would. At the suggestion of a friend, she took Jason to a chiropractor who adjusted him, and bingo! 4 days worth of…well, you get the picture. This got his parents involved in the process of finding a chiropractor for the family, and soon everyone was under care, not for pain, but for improved overall health. It wasn’t until 20+ years later that Dr. Price actually became a chiropractor himself. At the age of 45 and 2 careers later, he decided to go back to school and help families in the same way his own family had been helped through the years with family chiropractic care. Along the way, Dr. Price has learned various techniques and styles of working with the body as a chiropractor. In 2004, he was introduced to the Bio Cranial System and decided to make that the focus of his practice. Utilizing this unique system has allowed him to facilitate levels of healing in his patients that have been life changing to all involved. In addition, Dr. Price has traveled around the United States introducing other health care professionals to Bio Cranial. He also facilitates ongoing continuing education classes for doctors who are learning the system for the first time or sharpening their current skills. In his personal life, Dr. Price is involved at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA, where he has participated in numerous outreach opportunites and conducted support classes for individuals dealing with family members with addictions. In 2007 he and his wife Kristen traveled to South Africa to help construct a prototype for affordable housing in Kayamandi, one of the poorest shanty towns in the Capetown region. With a rich life history, Dr. Price is able to focus on treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. I suppose being able to do this on a daily basis is why when most people his age are thinking about retirement, he’s just getting started.
