Older Caucasian women rudely attempted to refuse my service in front of my 4 yr old Grandaughter because she expected myself to know they close at 4:45p.m.. The website I last went to said 5:00 p.m. but that is irrelevant. I entered the store after 4:45 p.m.so any announcement claimed to be made , I wasn't present at that time. I placed the money on the counter plus extra change as I have done numerous times at this stores location and with her , then proceeded to leave with my Grandaughter. My granddaughter began to cry telling me that the worker said we couldn't come back to the store anymore. I'm in this store at least three times a week to by her a 1.91 dress. Now I didn't hear exactly what she said , do to recent hearing problems , but to speak that way in front of my baby and or to me period is ridiculous. This was my first time going this late and the parking lot was full. I normally go when they open to the same dress area for kids right in the front and I'm out within 2 to 5 minutes tops. This employee owes me an apology for the way she acted with me. She has worked there since I could remember. My family shops there and will continue to shop there. I hope she was just having a very bad day because it appears lately shes not as friendly with the customers. She always seems tired or maybe stressed and you rarely catch a sincere smile from her. But hey, I can ignore her non customer satisfaction skills as I stated , I'm always in an out. Oh by the way sometime last year there was a sign posted on your window saying you were open on Sunday's and that was incorrect. And there are websites that currently say you open until 5:00p.m.. Someone should look into that. I'm new to the Internet but the correct dates and hours can save a lot of hassles.
excellent thrift store. Very well laid out. Boutique style clothing. BEST PART: FREE HIV tests and Condoms.
This location is closed. It went out of business several months ago.
Big place, nice things, well organized and clean. You could spend up to 3 hrs looking, but the only downfall is they don't have restrooms.
I have lived behind amvets in n.long beach for 26 years. I had hobbies. That I out grew I tried donating. Fishing poles, r/c cars and boats, power tools and a lot of good stuff but to my surprise they don't want my trash said. A fat little man who was working in the back.. but yet he walked away taking a $ 200 long board.... Yup... I am your neighbor. Doing a donation for our vets.. goodwill. Is where my donation is going.. help our vets don't turn down a $1 that can help our veterans.....
2/20/2010this is a great thrift store, very neat, well organized. prices are good and you can't beat their hours. i've never seen them too crowded, they run color tag specials and have a decent furniture section. not a whole lot of childrens toys or other related kid items. except for clothes of course, which are plentiful. but as with any thrift shop...you have to browse frequently to get the best bargains!the only 'con' i can think of would be the fact that they have nice new restrooms but NO DRESSING ROOMS!!
