Pawnshops: 10 Things to Know »
Most people think of pawn stores as a way to make cash quickly or a place to buy an inexpensive ring. In reality, they're a lot more complex than simple buy-and-sell transactions…
Discriminated Against !I have been frequently purchasing food from Mothers Nutritional Center-417 1319 Long Beach Blvd. Long Beach Ca. 90813. On Wednesday 11/15/2017 I bought several items, including two flan PUDDINGS. After I payed I asked for a spoon to eat the puddings with, and my cashier asked another worker( other worker: Latino male, late 30's early 40's) who seemed to be the manager for a spoon. He REFUSED to give me a disposable plastic spoon, so I asked that how was I supposed to eat the flan puddings (it is basic knowledge one eats a pudding with a spoon or even a fork). He answered that spoons are only given when one buys a Parfait; it made no-sense to me since both parfaits and flans require spoons to eat. Other customers there looked at me either with pity or awe. I felt completely humiliated. He suggested I could ask for a spoon at the stores next door. A basic service was REFUSED to me even after I payed and the item bought required one spoon from the many the place stores. I will NEVER purchase at this store again.
My favorite store in the world! So well stocked, everything I want and super nice helpful employees! I buy all my groceries here and often go to eat. Try the Tri Tip sandwich , sooo good!
Long Beach Blvd/Willow - Not a bad store compared to others in LB. A little ghetto with panhandlers greeting you at your car and by the front/exit doors. The prices are high, the store layout is confusing so I prefer Ralphs. The mexican markets don't cut it for this White/Asian family. They are very dirty and smell terrible. Now it's a drive to Bixby Knolls to do our shopping or Costco. There's really no selection of grocery stores in LB anymore. I guess the major chains don't want to do business in he ghetto anymore, although it isn't that bad here. Coming from down South Orange County, it is a huge shock, but people need food and selection. Not everyone here is Hispanic. There's a diversity of ethnic backgrounds in LB (a good thing).
The employees here are very, very smiling and seem to enjoy working there. There's a great variety of everything here! This grocery store is the best to go to. Overall, I recommend shopping here.
I am a senior citizens, recently moved from Orange County to Long Beach to reside with my son, a home owner. This created much apprehension, as my residence had been in Orange County for 45 years, to think of finding new and friendly stores was a big uncertainty to me yet the moment that I entered Albertsons Store #6132 on Willow, it was an electrifying experience.I entered the side where the electric chairs are charged as my hip need some TLC and cannot walk around the store but all my apprehensions disappeared as I first looked ahead and found my self in the fruit and vegetable section it was like, In my mind “walking down the Yellow Brick Road” fruits organized neatly in a row some I did not even recognize. the young grocer stocking the section was extremely helpful and friendly to me he even got permission to slice up an apricot for me to taste. The appearance of the entire store, the organization of it all, the cleanness of it all, also the personal attention that was so respectfully shown to me made me feel as if I was shopping in Hollywood as a debutante, made this old lady feel good.
