CORRUPTION!!! STAY AWAY!!!
I have read the comments below and have experienced the same thing. wish I would have read them sooner!

1. they DISHONESTLY fill out the pre-move-in form to make the house sound like it is clean, when it is NOT. they do not report any existing broken fixtures or appliances and they tell you that they will write it down on the form later, but they won't.

2. I felt they purposely delayed revealing the results of their move-out evaluation of the house until there was very little time for me to fix every small detail they had written down. I cleaned this house so well that it was cleaner than it was when I first moved in! and the person who wrote the form, the manager, wrote illegibly and CRYPTICALLY, and wrote about just the most ridiculously minor items. in my opinion this was all a scam to get money out of you as you move out.

3. the staff is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNHELPFUL, NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED, and the manager is impossible to get a hold of. For a student or a working professional to have to work around the avaliability of these people is basically impossible.

4. I felt that this whole scenario was ENTRAPMENT and CROOKERY. My apartment was so dirty when I moved in that I had to scrub the whole place down myself again. Being naive, I did not report this to the management. There was a stack of previous renter's laundry behind my laundry machine that was 2-3 feet high with dust and dirt. United Property Management says that they use the deposit to clean the house, but I do not believe that is the case, I think that they pocket the money instead and skimp on the cleaning.
