The hospital offers a full range of health care services in a recently expanded facility. A renovated $1.1 million Physical Rehabilitation Unit opened in 2003. Colonoscopy
The department consists of two procedure rooms, an ERCP room, and a pre/post procedure observation area. Endoscopic services include EGD, colonoscopy, PEG placement, ERCP, bronchoscopy, thorocentesis, paracentesis, TEE, Bravo, Tilt Testing, Echo with contrast and an RN who will follow you throughout your care from endoscopy to radiology for liver and renal biopsies.

Labor and Delivery
The second floor includes the Women’s Center, with three labor and delivery suites, a staging area and a nine-bed nursery with the latest in safety and LDR security features. PACS Technology, which allows physicians in the Emergency Department to make consultations 24 hours a day with radiologists at other facilities across the country, has also been installed. The hospital has also recently purchased over $4.2 million in state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm, with coverage outside of these hours provided by a designated and qualified call surgical team. The department consists of four major rooms and a urology/minor procedure room.

Endoscopy normal working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, with coverage outside these hours by a designated endoscopy technician and the on call OR nurse. Endoscopy does not require anesthesia, but does require sedation.

Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services are provided to individuals with orthopedic, neurologic and other medical conditions of recent onset or regression who have experienced a loss of function in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition or communication. Type of patients admitted to the Rehabilitation Unit include, however are not limited to, those with a diagnosis of stroke, spinal cord injury or dysfunction, brain injury, amputation, multiple trauma, hip fracture or joint replacement, arthritis, congenital deformity, burns or other progressive neurologic syndromes such as Gullian Barre, Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. The patient population includes adults 18 years and over. Care is provided on an 8-bed unit located on the third floor of the hospital.

The hospital offers a full range of health care services in a recently expanded facility. A renovated $1.1 million Physical Rehabilitation Unit opened in 2003. A $20 million Emergency Department and Facility Renovation, completed in 2005, added approximately 42,000 square feet to the facility and renovated approximately 8,000 square feet within the existing hospital. The Emergency Department includes 22 rooms, a portable X-ray unit, a CAT scan, a portable ultrasound, X-ray rooms and three trauma rooms.
MRI
The Radiology Department of Logan Regional Medical Center provides General Radiology and Fluoroscopy, Mammography and Breast Localization, Nuclear Medicine, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). We provide services for newborns through geriatrics with both diagnostic and emergency procedures.

The Medical Staff of the Radiology Department are either board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology. The technical staff of the Radiology Department are either Registry eligible or Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and are licensed by the State of West Virginia Board of Licensure for Radiologic Technologists.

Computed Tomography
Calcium scoring, also called a heart CT scan, is a painless, non-invasive way of obtaining information about your coronary arteries. This screening provides pictures of your heart's arteries and identifies if calcium deposits are present – which helps determine if you have a higher risk of having a heart attack or other potential symptoms of heart disease.

Patients may be referred by a physician, health care professional, or self-referral. The wound care physician will complete a history and physical, order diagnostic tests, if indicated, and determine a plan of care following evidence based guidelines. Treatment will focus on the causation of the wound, co-existing conditions that impact wound healing, and topical wound management.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
While minimally invasive surgery effectively reduces recovery time and gives surgeons greater control, it may not be for everyone.
